This chutney makes a nice alternative to the traditional cranberry sauce, which is higher in sugar.
Suggestions: As a gift, jar this and tie with a bow.

Preparation Time: 20 mins
1 cup water
3/4 cup unpacked dark brown sugar
3/4 cup cider vinegar
2 medium green apples, peeled and diced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp mace
1/2 tsp curry powder
3 Tbsp orange zest
12 oz dried cranberries
1/2 cup currants
1 cup orange juice
Stir in cranberries, currants and orange juice. Boil for an additional 10 minutes.
