What were your weight-control goals?

I want to lose 140 pounds. I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle. I did not want my size to keep me from doing anything that I wanted to do.

What motivated you to lose weight?

I wanted to be able to run with my neices. I wanted to play competitive sports again. I wanted to shop in normal stores for any type of clothing that I wanted. I wanted to feel good about the way that I looked.

What was your weight-loss method?
-
Walking 4-5 miles dailiy. Weight training 3-4 times a week. Work with a personal trainer. Eat no more than 1500 calories daily.

What were some obstacles you encountered while losing weight?

The biggest obstacle that I encountered invovled wanting to eat later on in the evenings. Every night is an exercise in self-discipline to not eat.

What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?

Persistance. Stay with it, especially when you have a lot to lose. Drink plenty of water. Exercise as much as you can. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water if you made a few bad choices about food or exercise.

How do you feel now that you've lost weight?
