To lose any weight period! I've been the same weight since my daughter was born in 1998. I haven't lost or gained a pound.
I have PCOS - diagnosed a year ago. My husband and I have wanted another child for around 3 years, and just couldn't get pregnant. If I could lose some weight, my body might just "kick into gear".
By signing up to CalorieKing, I was able to keep track of the calories I consumed in a day. I felt bad having to put alot of food into the diary. I walk alot already, but I also bought a pedometer just to see how many steps I take in a day.
My husband had a really bad childhood. He never new when his next meal was going to be. I am always making extra for him (and of course he loses weight very easily), so there was always extra prepared food in the house. He also hates vegetables.
Don't give up. I've been there many a time before. Once I was able to see the calories, and breakdowns of different foods, I new what I should and shouldn't be eating. If I have the urge to go out for a meal, I now go to Subway, since it is a lot better for me.
I'm excited that after just a couple of weeks I have lost even a couple pounds. I've spent the last 5 years, pretty much to the day, trying to lose the weight that I gained. Before I had my daughter I weighed 145 pounds. After I had her, I weighed 232. I never changed the way that I ate, I just didn't realize that PCOS could cause such havock on one's system.
Being more knowledgable when it comes to foods, calories, carbs, protein, and fat. Just being able to keep a diary at the touch of a button, and to see what's in each food.
