Sunday, May 11 2008 - Tweaking for better health
View ELENAPOLIS's food & exercise for this day
Last week my extreme frustration with the SBD was expressed in my previous entry. This week, I decided to tweak it a bit for better health. I'll call it the Shanghai Diet. Haha.
Taking out all artificial sweeteners, meat (except fish), and coffee.
Adding berries because they're a low-sugar super food (which is kinda a silly concept because I think God created all foods to be pretty super for me except the food scientists just haven't fully understood this/broadcast this yet).
Total calories for the day will be 1,100 before the exercise.
On a personal note...
My superman and I celebrated 5 months together yesterday. It was a fun time. I really have enjoyed getting to know him more and enjoy everything about him. He always makes me laugh and is so handsome and kind, generous, thoughful, romantic, hospitible, optimistic, disciplined, hard-working, loves kids and people and discipling people and helping them to know God more. He always takes the high moral road and makes good choices and I trust him and feel safe with him. This is the first time I've felt this way about any one and it's a good feeling.
Yesterday, sitting in the cafe eating supper and talking about our lives and future, I watched him speaking and thought, "I just want to kiss you right now. I wonder what you would do if, when you were talking next to me I just kissed you. You'd probably freak out. ha ha" Then, I smiled a slight smile and blushed which made him question the cause of my warm cheeks.
"Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it" I replied giggling and averting my eyes. Seeing as I wasn't angry or disturbed, he let it go. Later as we were walking out, I told him laughingly about it and he said,
"That's not a bad thought. There's just a right time." We joked about it a bit and caught a taxi to send me home.
Dear reader, you haven't stepped into the twilight zone, nor have you tuned into an episode of "Leave it to Beaver" but rather, you have taken a glimpse of a dating relationship of 5 months leading to marriage where the couple hasn't yet kissed. We're saving that for engagement. Even when we're "officially engaged" he asked if we could "hold off on kissing with our tongue" till we're married.
It's an adventure, this relationship. It's comforting to know that the relationship and love we're building isn't based on the fleeting thrill of physical intimacy, but on knowing eachother better.
Doing it this way does make me want to marry sooner though. Even though I asked we post-pone it until we can marry in the USA where my family can be there too, I hope it doesn't have to be too long.
Sometimes... I just want to jump him. hehe *blush* But, as said before, there's a time for eerything.
