Last week my extreme frustration with the SBD was expressed in my previous entry. This week, I decided to tweak it a bit for better health. I'll call it the Shanghai Diet. Haha.
Taking out all artificial sweeteners, meat (except fish), and coffee.
Adding berries because they're a low-sugar super food (which is kinda a silly concept because I think God created all foods to be pretty super for me except the food scientists just haven't fully understood this/broadcast this yet).

5 days- 5 DAYS of NO sugar in any way, shape or form and 1,100 or less net calories every day and NOT ONE LB LOST!
My body is too efficient.
I am SO frustrated. I denied myself militantly and for what?! Nothing. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

So, this whole South Beach diet thing is going fairly well.
My main problem has been not eating enough because I have been too bloated from all the veggies which has given me a full, I don't want to eat anything, feeling. However, this has also caused me to feel moody and weak by the late afternoon.
Today I managed to eat more in the morning and felt really full (in a satisfied but not bloated way) after eating the baked mackeral.
I seem to be eating too much fat also. Ah, balance,...

Well, in efforts to amp up my calories, I ate fish and duck yesterday. The duck was quite fatty and I probably shouldn't have eaten it but, at the end of a long work day (which included riding my bike almost 2 hours to different jobs) I knew I would have NO energy to ride home if I didn't eat something first.
And the duck was calling my name. That's ok, my net calories weren't over 1,400 so it's not too much damage. It will just make up for eating too little on the previous days.

Apparently, I'm not eating enough. Is it possible to eat too many veggies? I feel that if I attempt to eat one more raw or lightly steamed veggie, it's just not going to make it to my stomach.
I really really tried to eat enough today. I was stuffing it down just about every hour even when I wasn't hungry. But, I just felt full, full, full- like I couldn't possibly put one more thing inside of me.
