View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day

After many weeks of a very manageable appetite level, I have sudden gone into a 5-day run of excessive hunger. Like STARVING. I wish I knew what triggers this - could be the time of year or it could be my body trying to make me gain weight or both. I am more and more convinced that my body does not really want me to maintain weight loss. I don't mean that I am not able to plan or adjust or that this means there is no hope or that this is an excuse not to try anymore, but I think that acknowledging the biological and physiological drive to not starve is very appropriate for me. I have no proof of this, but I suspect this is just the way it is for many short women, especially post-children.

So, I'm off to gnaw on my arm until lunch. :laugh5:

Like the cavemen (and bears), we try to store fat for winter.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
In the World According to Patti my research shows so called 'comfort food' that we like when it's cold out; too many holiday favorites around and in the summer we typically don't like to eat heavy foods because it's too hot.
You aren't alone sweetie.

There was some research on this recently and a doco down where I live in Australia. Let me see if I can find it. I remember watching it and it being very interesting but I cant remember enough of it to start spouting off facts. Let me have a look for it and I will post the link for it this afternoon when I have some more time to myself... YAY kids :D

I'm neither a woman, short or have children so what's my reason for feeling much the same sometimes? I'll let you gnaw on mine if I can gnaw on yours!

You too? :bang: I'm back up to the top of the Five Pound Zone from which I cannot escape. You have pretty arms, don't bite too hard.
