Hi Everyone,

long time no blog.

I have been CK'ing on and off (and yes I know thats a bad thing) but I am using a contest at the health club to turn over a new leaf. I signed up for a thing called "I lost it at the club" which lasts for about 3 months. I got weighed, measured and body fat tested today and If I make the most progress of anyone in one of those 3 categories I win a gift card.

Well I'm gonna use that for motivation to try and get one of them! Lets see how...

Todays celebrity birthday: Harry "I get more tail than frank sinatra" Connick Jr.

Did a core workout at lunch today. I have noticed that my core strength, more than just general muscle resistance, is seriously lacking so I have started doing that more than general weights. We will see how that goes.

Well we had some slightly positive news about my mom. The eye condition that caused her blindness in one of her eyes is not Temporal Arteritis which is an inflammation of the arteries in the temple. Its been a bizarre few weeks. My mom hurt her knee and went to the ER. She, oddly enough, ended up in the hospital for over a week with pernicious anemia.

Watched most of the convention last night. I particularly appreciated the Kennedy tribute. Many people see Kennedy in a negative light when, the truth is, he is responsible for Medicare, almost all of the minimum wage increases over the past 30 years, pel grants and a host of other things that many Americans take for granted.
