verse and prayers for Tuesday July 23

KRISTINEFREDRIKA - 10:24AM UTC, Jul 23rd 2013

** Good Tuesday morn goalies:
another verse that touched me Sunday at church:
Malachi 3:17, 18
17“They will be my people,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. 18Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”

Thank You Lord, we are all counting on you to do what you promised. Thank You that we are in your sights. Thank You that you are taking care of all these tailor made trials.
Lord strengthen Annette with her Erika through the pain and give Steph an enjoyable time on the boat (did I get the date wrong?)
Above all Father, guide us and keep us. thank You Lord!****************

Victory = series of right choices....

Nothing tastes as good as Peace feels!

God bless you and yours!

STEPHDREED - 5:13PM UTC, Jul 23rd 2013

Good Afternoon,

I just caught up reading everyone's posts:) It has been crazy for me lately but getting a lot of work done. Back to work for the next three days and I took a V day on Friday and the boating trip is scheduled for Saturday. Only staying two days at the house in Indy so as long as it doesn't rain mowing is on the agenda for tonight. I have a friend and her and her husband want to stay at the house over the weekend they are going to the Brickyard. So I need to clean now also. DH wants to camp at the camper on Thursday. I told him that was fine with me but I'm not grilling out.

The renter should have the rent on Friday...hoping that goes well.

The hand off to get the DD wasn't too bad. Penny was trying to tell my DH what to do and he told her to shut it. Makes me want to slap her. Especially since what she was telling us to do was illegal...grr. She was getting on to Scott because our DD doesn't know how to drive yet. He told her that once she finishes her drivers ed online she can take her test and get her permit. She was telling him no she needs to learn to drive first. Idiot. Anyways, she has been driving on expired paper plates and has gotten pulled over several times because of them. She has no insurance and she wanted our DD to drive. Thank God, she said no. When she was 13 she was letting her drive in Indy on a main road. I told the DD regardless of what your mother says do not drive again. I explained that she would be the one not getting her license if she got caught and if she had an accident then they would come after us. Unfortunately, she wants our DD to come back up on the 29 she is planning something for her b-day...ULG

I found out the big fight was because she found out that DD had stopped by to see me and I guess she blew up that's why she wanted my number. Not sure what she was going to say but I am sure glad she didn't.

I said a prayer for you ladies on the drive in to work. We slept in on Sunday and didn't go to Church that and having Monday off I really feel off.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
The Message (MSG)
9-13 But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I’ve had a good look at what God has given us to do—busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he’s coming or going. I’ve decided that there’s nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That’s it—eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It’s God’s gift.

Same verse different translation I found these very interesting today.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Kris, Annette and Erika I hope you have a wonderful day today:wave1:

Annette- prayers for the girls "play date".

I really need prayer for dealing with the pain and getting through it. I need prayer that I will not go to extremes and worry and be anxious.

I want so to be so full of Faith and to just KNOW that God is in control. I do KNOW in my head, but sometimes my sinful heart strays, and I find myself in a viscous worry and anxious struggle that I don't have to be in....
I know we need God daily, I know we will struggle, and that we have to constantly pray, and constantly SEEK Him.
I wish I was just there I guess, 100% faith filled, and 100% joy-filled in my life- because I am here to SERVE GOD and my joy should only be in HIM.

the situation with my brother still looms also, I pray constantly that when we do meet or talk next that I will be filled with God's peace adn God's words, that Matt will see God through me, and we may make peace and move forward in our relationship.

This devotion came today--- it was perfect for me right here and now. THANK YOU GOD for knowing us so and bringing what we need.

"Why do I go mourning?" --Psalm 42:9

Can you answer this, believer? Can you find any reason why you are so often mourning instead of rejoicing? Why yield to gloomy anticipations? Who told you that the night would never end in day? Who told you that the sea of circumstances would ebb out till there should be nothing left but long stretches of the mud of horrible poverty? Who told you that the winter of your discontent would proceed from frost to frost, from snow and ice and hail, to deeper snow, and yet more heavy tempest of despair? Don't you know that day follows night, that flood comes after ebb, that spring and summer succeed winter? Be full of hope! Hope forever! For God does not fail you. Do you not know that God loves you in the midst of all this? Mountains, when in darkness hidden, are as real as in day, and God's love is as true to you now as it was in your brightest moments. No father chastens always: the Lord hates the rod as much as you do; He only cares to use it for that reason which would make you willing to receive it, namely, it brings about your lasting good. You will yet climb Jacob's ladder with the angels, and behold Him who sits at the top of it--thy covenant God. You will yet, amidst the splendors of eternity, forget the trials of time, or only remember them to bless the God who led you through them, and works your lasting good by them. Come, sing in the midst of tribulation. Rejoice even while passing through the furnace. Make the wilderness to blossom like the rose! Cause the desert to ring with your exulting joys, for these light afflictions will soon be over, and then "for ever with the Lord," your bliss shall never wane.

"Faint not nor fear, His arms are near,
He changeth not, and thou art dear;
Only believe and thou shalt see,
That Christ is all in all to the

Our pastor spoke from Ephesians on our struggle not being against flesh and blood, but a spiritual battle. He reminded us that t is against a created being, not equal to God and how we need to wear the armor of God. He also shared a story of how his wife prayed every time they passed an adult video place that was across the street from their previous church, and one day the video place burnt to the ground. The interesting part of the story came later, and our pastor swears it is true.....the video owner took the church to court, accusing them of the damage done to his building, the church said, no, they only prayed...the judge ended up stating that it sounds like the video store owner believes more in the power of prayer than the church does.

Please pray for my daughter's today, I am sending them on a play date:). Us mom's are trying to break the ice with our daughters, all four will be attending the same magnet school next oldest daughter is the most shy of the bunch. Praying that the group of five girls will mesh well together and break through the awkwardness.....they actually have known each other for several years, but only know each other from the one common friend:). Hopefully today will bring them closer, praying for this:)....they tend to divide when together:tongue10:. All five are Christian girls ages, 16, 16, 14.95, 13, and 11 :).

Thank you!!
