Traditional Sloppy Joes, although tasty, can be high in calories and fat. This healthier Turkey Sloppy Joe recipe replaces regular ground beef with lean ground turkey and omits the added sugar.
In large skillet, over medium-high heat, sauté turkey, onion and bell pepper 5 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink. Add ketchup, relish, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and celery seed. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Slice bread in half, lengthwise, and toast under broiler 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
To serve, spoon turkey mixture over one half of bread and top with other half. Cut into 8 slices.
