Drink your fruit with this frothy, blended, party drink.
Ingredients:
1 cup fat-free milk
1 large ripe peach, peeled, pitted and cut into eighths, or 2 canned in-own-juice peach halves, drained
5 - 6 ice cubes
1 - 2 packets artificial sweetener **
1/4 tsp almond extract *
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend at high speed until very smooth and foamy, about one minute. Pour into a chilled glass and serve.
Variations:
* For an alcoholic option, omit some/all of the sweetener and replace the almond extract with 1 ounce of amaretto liqueur.
** Note: If desired, replace artificial sweetener with 1 to 2 tablespoons of unpacked brown sugar.
