ARCHYJILL's CalorieKing blog

Friday, Aug 27 2010 - A Perfect 10!

View ARCHYJILL's food & exercise for this day

I remember growing up in the era of Mary Lou Retton and watching her during the Olympics and hoping for that "perfect 10" score. Well, today I had my perfect ten food-wise. Have been having a really hard time hitting the fat/protein/carb ratio recommended by my trainer AND hitting my calorie target...usually I come in either way too high or way too low. But today I hit the 10/30/60 (fat/protein/carb %) danged near on the nose coming in at 11/28/61 and logged 2217 calories (trainer wants between 2200-2500)! Not only that, but I did it while having a whopping 1/2 ounce serving of dry roasted-unsalted peanuts and a whole 16 grams of soy nut butter...LOL. I usually steer clear of nuts, but today I managed to work them in.

Not really sure where the week has gotten to. I think I spent most of it being a HUGE crazy hormone grouch lady...really need to do something about the birth control I think. I thought today would be a little better because I made sure to get all my calories in, but I think I was really worse than ever (sorry everyone!).

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and cool (high of 76) with a chance of thunderstorms which means I do NOT have to get up at 4am to drive out in the boonies for my run...I can get up at a leisurely 5 or 5:30 instead...sigh. Trying to decide whether to attend a pig roast put on by the Old Fat Bastards Motorcycle Club at this RV park that is on the way home from the run. Sure to be loaded with fat and calories, but looks to be a ton of fun and is for charity. Oh yeah, did I mention tomorrow's run is 20 miles??? The only thing that will get me through it is the possibility of attending the pig roast and knowing that next week's run will be 22 miles, so I should enjoy "just" having to do 20 while I can :teeth1:
