No matter where you start or where you stop, life seems to come full circle. My life is about to take on a level it hasn't in many many years now, but it's one I am completely ready for and welcome with open arms.

My boyfriend of many years is moving in from out of state. We lived together before but it has been so long. May even get married someday soon. My daughter will graduate high school next year and my son the year after that. Both have high hopes of joining the military.

Much improved

This week I slowly brought the caloric intake back down to normal levels and of course I feel better. Not physically better yet because it usually takes longer than that, but I feel better about myself simply because I know I'm back on track. Taking care of yourself feels good. Better sleep was also a contributing factor to this weeks smoother track. One can never underestimate the power sleep deprivation has on a body.

Not so good week

This past week was a roller coaster as far as work schedule, sleep and everything in between. I know that I didn't do well on my food intake and what made it worse was I had little way of tracking that food intake and getting it into CK. Not one to beat myself up too long I have already planned out my food for this coming week in anticipation of another crazy week (with basically no days off) so that I can stay well within my calorie intake and get back on track.

I've been keeping track of my food intake on CK now for a little over a week. While I have gone over my allotted calories a little each day I also find that it is helping me not eat when I shouldn't just knowing that I'm being held accountable. I'm not picking the right foods yet. I still lost about 2 more lbs and positive progress is all that matters.

Today is the 14th of April 2007. Many years have come and gone while I slowly crept up the scale to the bigger numbers. I've never been consistantly active and quite honestly never got that "rush" people talk about after working out and that "boy I feel good" feeling either. My top weight was 287 lbs on January 1st of this year. Over the past 3 1/2 months I've already lost 23 lbs just by changing my eating habits and reducing my portions.
