Tuesday, Nov 22 2011 - Keeping goals and roadblocks in mind

It has been a struggle the past two days, lots of stress and opportunity to make unhealthy choices. Scott and I had a night out for dinner, I chose Applebees for the menu choices and I had the lime Tilapia for 350 calories and a green salad with NO dressing. I did have coffee, which I have been avoiding. I also have cut down on diet sodas as carbonation expands your stomach and that makes me feel hungry and gives a bigger place to fill, (expanding my stomach), so Im trying to make better choices. More water, herbal teas to reduce caffeine, less caffeine, as caffeine makes me hungry. I am eating measured portions of food, serving size or less, choosing healthy choices and not allowing snacking while watching TV, just one snack after dinner and I try to keep that for my desert on a very low calorie day. Also exercise, going to the gym swimming and doing water exercises is a must. My goal is 150 min. a week and reaching that goal for me needs to be a real must as it helps me feel better and I have more energy. Feeling good about myself and reaching a small goal a day will help me in my journey to regain my life. I must keep in mind I am doing this for me, for my health and for my life to last longer to enjoy the thing I dearly love. It is not about will power it is about getting that mindset, that one that keeps my goals in the forefront and WHY I want them.
