Wednesday, May 2 2012 - Back on track after WD's from Tramadol
View ARTISTSANDIE's food & exercise for this day
It took thirty two days to start feeling like my old self. With my weight loss and regained my health I felt it was time to remove Tramadol from my life as my hips pain had diminished greatly. I had been told that this was a safe drug, with little or no addiction issues. Will was I blindsided as I tapered down my body became very ill. No sleep, hundreds of showers and vomiting, diarrhea, chills, sweats and tremors I have not had that drug in my system for ten days now. I managed to make it to the gym last evening and this evening for my swimming and was happy to be back in the water. I spent a good thirty minutes in the sauna just sweating out the bad toxins in my system. I never used drugs, nor even consumed alcohol, so this was so out of my reality to have to deal with this as I never abused my prescription; in fact I took less the prescribed. I was told that drug reps mislead Drs regarding this drug as it attached to the opium receptors and also carries with is antidepressants, all not giving you a feeling of drug high if taken as prescribed. It was a real night mare for me, yet I am now on my way to better health. On a real plus side I had my eco cardiogram today and it looked very good, but of course still have to have the cardiologist give me, Clean Bill Of Health. Next test for me is a stress test and I will be back in line for surgery. Food was not bad for the day considering I had lunch out, dinner was great I made leek and potato soup, low sodium meal and 0ne cup filled me up, only 260 calories. Back to the path of health for me.
