View BEAGLE's food & exercise for this day
Haha, can she stick around this time? This is my third time attempting to use this site to help me take weight loss "seriously". My motivation this time? My husband let slip the word "fatty". OOOOOH I was mad at him, but he's right.
I recently came to the realization that I was drinking sometimes 3 energy drinks in a day, and not the sugar-free/carb-free ones that have 10 calories a can. I was drinking the full sugared ones that have 200+ calories a can. No wonder I put on 5 lbs inside a month! So my new starting weight is 183. My eventual goal is to get to 140lbs, but right now even getting 160 will be a huge accomplishment. It will be the smallest I'll have been since jr. high when I wasn't even at full height yet. My learner's driving license I got when I was 16 had my weight down as 160, but I think I may have been lying.
Back on topic though: this past week I've been making some sort of effort, by packing a relatively healthy lunch that includes Michelina's Avantage meals (between 150-300 calories per serving), some granola or snack bars (usually under 100 calories a peice), and maybe some fruit. Then when I get to work, I completely undermine my efforts and buy whatever the cafeteria is making! Since I believe I have my exercise under control (if I can get myself moving before I have time to relax after work, it's a lot easier), this is my new goal:
to resist the temptation of fresh home-style meals when I have already brought a lunch to work. As a bonus, if I'm not buying add-ons to my lunch every day, I get to keep that money to maybe buy a new game or DVD.
I'm currently working on a schedule of rewards for myself, I'll post it here when I'm done with it. Some rewards, like hitting 170, I know what to do (new DS game), but other smaller ones, like 5lbs from my current mark, are giving me trouble since I don't want to over-reward myself, but can't really think of anything under $10 or so that I'd actually want, and behavioral stuff I just go and do anyways. I'll think on it while I'm in a super-boring hour long staff meeting today.
