PM:I am getting used to navigating the site. I have recorded my food today and that is a good start. Although, I ate tons of Thanksgiving leftovers. I am not going to be too hard on myself. I am here, getting to know this site and what I need to do to succeed, that should be enough for the first day. My goal for tomorrow is to watch what I eat and try to get some green check marks.
I should make a goal to start working out, but I feel so fat and bloated from Thanksgiving and today, so I will make my goal to start working out on Monday. Hopefully I am recovered from all of my food abuse and can get on the treadmill. I need to really do this. I am 35 years old and feel like 65. My feet hurt all the time and I am missing out on activities that I would normally do, but I am too embarrassed to be seen in public. I have gained 15lbs a year for several years, adding up to almost 100. I say it crept up on me, but in reality, I should have been doing something about it after the first, second or third year of gaining. I also feel responsible for having an overweight child. He is not morbidly obese....yet....but if we let these bad habits go, I see no other result.
He likes to respond to forums and blogs, so if you see BEAR123, give him a shout! He is a great kid. I am going to try to help him get a picture uploaded.


AM:
I just joined along with my 14 year old son Bear. This is the first day that Bear and I are signed up for Calorie King. He is liking the program so far. He likes that he can communicate with people. He is also learning a lot by reading through his lessons. I hope he keeps his enthusiasm.

I can't help but feel responsible for his weight issues. I have my own. Together we will change our habits and lifestyle starting today. I am proud of us.

:wave1: Welcome to you and your son....I think it is awesome that the two of you are doing this together....You will get alot of support here....Remember that logging is the key here..along with portion control.....Sounds like you both are already using CK University....that is great...use the forums also...even if you just read them you will find great information there...Again I want to welcome you here....Enjoy your journey to good health......:)
