So far, so good today. I haven't worked out yet, but I plan on it.
I am noticing I eat too much fat, even now that I have lowfat versions of my favorite things. What is up with lowfat peanut butter? It's not that low, and the calories are really up there. I need to figure out how to eat and be satisfied without the fat. And....I can't seem to eat enough fiber no matter what I eat. I feel like I eat a lot, but I guess it's not enough fiber. It seems silly to take fiber as a supplement when I need to eat anyway. If I could just eat enough fiber, maybe that will take away room for the fat.
I'm not sure what the correct formula is for me, but I am getting there. Maybe I need to eat whole wheat cereal for breakfast, a sanwhich with whole wheat for lunch, snack on Triscuits, have beans with dinner and maybe an apple. Would that be enough fiber? I'll try it tomorrow and we'll see.
I'm thankful for the wonderful life I have. I am fortunate to have good health. This is why I am working at eating better..... to preserve my good health and live my wonderful life as long as possible.
And my doggie is sooooo cute, I can hardly stand it. I just have to pinch his cheeks.

your puppy is just GORGEOUS!
my recommendation is to spend the first weeks focusing on the calorie content and then go from there. one GREAT way to get loads of fiber is to eat kashi GO LEAN cereal. 10 g right away in the morning! i also mix toasted wheat bran into my yogurt (2 tbsp has about 5 g of fiber and 15 calories) and,as always, veg veg veg! lots of veggies. think baby steps. as for peanut butter..... yeah. i used to eat a lot of that but i don't so much anymore because it's so high in cals and fat. it's a special treat now and again for me instead of a staple. keep up your GREAT work!

Hello
:wave1: and welcome! I think that you are on the right track. The most important thing for you to do is to find what works for you and that you can do it for the long term.
