OK, the weekends are the hardest for me, I know that now. We ate out today and I had buffalo wings....way too fatty. I didn't know we were going to eat out today so I didn't plan. DARN IT, I was doing good, then the weekend happens.

Oh well. I am starting the Couch to 5K challenge tomorrow. I saw the forum about it and I would love to try. I always wanted to be able to jog. I can remember around 1998 - 2000 when I used to go to the gym a lot and weighed between 145 - 155. Yes, I have gained almost 100 lbs in that short of a time. Even when I was normal weight, I couldn't jog for very long without getting seriously out of breath. I decided one summer that I would train my self to run. I started jogging 1 minute, then walking for 2 for a total of 30 minutes. I increased the jogging time, first to 2 minutes, then 3, then 4....until I could jog for 15 minutes with no problem. I planned on keeping it up and getting to 30 minutes, but not long after that I stopped going to the gym. Something in my life changed where I felt that I didn't have time for it anymore. STUPID! From then on I have been putting weight on until it almost equalled 100 lbs. Until, that is, 9 days ago when I started CK. I'm hoping this new challenge gives me even more inspiration.

I try to learn from my mistakes. I am making a mental note to learn right now that I need to exercise and now I know what happens if I don't. I'm glad that lesson is over with. I am ready to move on with my healthy life.

Hope everyone is staying on track this weekend! Have a great one!

It's so sad at how easy it is to gain and how much work it is to lose or maintain. I think you are doing great and you will get back to jogging.

The challenge sounds like a great way to get a start towards your goals. It's tempting to reach back to our past, and in some respects we can learn a lot from it. However, turn your face to a new day and try not to focus on your weight gain. The important this is what you will do with your tomorrows.
