View BEARSMOM's food & exercise for this day
I am juggling schoolwork and housework today. Bear has been banned from the internet for improper use (for a teenager). He is homeschooled by using the Florida Virtual School, so his schoolwork is on the internet, so, he is only allowed to access the internet when a parent is present and for school purposes only. We should have done that a long time ago. There are a lot of BAD things on the internet for ANYONE (even kids) to see.
I have a bunch of schoolwork to do in between his schoolwork. It will be a pain in the butt to share the computer on my days off, but it is worth it. Bear has been chatting with a girl, who now has his phone number and he keeps talking about going to Colorado. BIG RED FLAGS went up. I checked sites he has been to and I found some Rated X stuff. NEVER AGAIN will he have free range of the internet in my house!!!
Well, off to do my schoolwork.....

I actually had that happen to my daughter and we were viewing who she was talking to on line. Found out the person was a 25 year old male talking to my 13 year old daughter. At the time AOL had it where you could trace every place your kid went on the internet and every person they talked to. I don't know what kind of programs are out there now, but I would see if there are some out there that do that. This was in the early days of the internet. I don't treasure parents now days because I figure it's even harder now days.

Oh, scary .... and as I tell my children; How do you really know that it's a girl and not some old pervert pretending to be a girl? I use my husband and I as examples since we go online. I hope that you have put a stop to that relationship. Take care and I hope all is well with you and yours.

Ohhhhhh the stuff I have to look forward too...... Grrrrrrrrr! I know, just straight filth on the internet and tv too. I have blocked everything, including cartoon network. Some prime time cartoons tick me off. Not just the violence, but the way they talk to each other. Calling each other stupid and morons and just degrading everyone. I didn't mean to but I guess I have run it into my four year olds head that there are just some things that she will not be watching because they are bad and "ugly" to watch. She freaks out now when her cartoon is over and "Billy and Mandy" comes on. I can't imagine what will happen when something REALLY bad confronts us. I have a daughter and a son, so I will be dealing with both worlds - Girl Drama and Boy Drama. Oh the agony... I will have to find a good shrink. I feel for you... and ya, keep those red flags up! These teens are so "uninhibited" anymore! Don't mess with a Momma Bear and her cubs!!!!!!!
