View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

HMMM... Not such a great day yesterday in the end but I semi-recovered by evening.
One thing I gotta say is that when I used to let a day spin out of control, then I would just go crazy till I was sick and then have ZERO motivation to get up and exercize the next day. I am learning that when I trip into the banana bread next to the coffee pot at work i don't have to let that destroy the rest of the day, even when a client brings me an entire bag of caramel filled hersheye's kisses a couple of hours later and I have a handful.... I had dinner plans but I only ordered spinach dip for all to share and nibbled a little. So I went to bed with a sufficiently empty tummy and got up at 4:30 to run off 5 miles of yesterday's mistakes.

I feel good this morning. The sun is out, high of 40 degrees today, Caribou with one of my 'girls' at lunch. It's gonna be a good day.
This weekend is coming up fast and we have a big banquet on Saturday. We booked a room there for the night which rocks! It's only on the other side of town but we have a passel of friends coming in from out of town so we can all hang out.. Of course I had a goal weight for the banquet that I am 10 pounds off of but I'm doing fine. I'll get there.

I tried to lay out a map for my 18 miler on Saturday last night. There's only so many long sidewalks and I ended up twisting and turning so much I was getting frazzled. I don't like to think about where I need to go when I am on a long run and I hate to 'double back' allot but my other plan got so twisty I'm going to settle for the lesser of the two evils I think. Maybe 5 miles out and back and then 4 miles out and back. That's not too many loops and I could always jump over a block to enjoy different scenery.

The knee is getting pissy. I have to get more Advil liquigels tonight. I hate to confess this but I am on a regimen of 800-1200 mg a day and I am not proud of it. After the marathon I will not take it at all, but to get through all the training and the actual race I have to stay ahead of the pain. ARGH> The Dr. just says to stay off of it, it's just over worked, no major problems. I don't plan on doing more than 1 marathon every 18-24 months anyways. I take ample breaks between them and just maintenance run most of the year.

I just want to say for the record that the bowl containing the remainding aforementioned hershey's kisses is on my desk for all to partake and despite the fact that I can actually smell the chocolate at the moment and I am PMS'ing through the roof, I have no desire (Did you hear that? NO desire!) :) to eat them. Not now and not today! Thank you very much.

I crack myself up. :)

Thanks for enduring today's blog.... compliments of, Rebekah on 'crack'. :)

310 miles run and 3100 crunches since 1/8/06!!!
Thank God for my health!
