I know it can seem trivial but I'm sure some of you will join me in the victory of 2 whole days with NO sugar!! I know they say you have to have a little or you'll splurge but with me, having a little becomes a splurge every time.
I know that 1 piece of chocolate (homemade

) bundt cake that a co-worker baked for an expectant Momma's last day wouldn't kill me (within my calories) BUT I would not settle for just 1 piece. So my treat to myself is lunch 'date' with my best girl and a latte at Caribou. 88 cal. with a punch of protein is much better and I packed a naval orange for this afternoon when I need a 'sweet' fix. Fruit has become my friend! I just have to buy SMALL bananas!
So I am happy and settled this morning. I have a plan and it is sufficient.
It is great to be 31. I was an unsettled teen and a very workaholic+really bad relationship '20 something'. At 29 I ran my first marathon and at 30 fell in love with the most wonderful man in the universe who thank goodness loves me too! At 31 I am running my second marathon and talking about babies!
I am getting back in step with Christ (again thank goodness he never gets out of step with me) I have 6 fabulous brothers, 2 darling parents, an adorable nephew (and another on the way).
Now all I have to conquer are my finances....

I read about a group of friends who made a commitment to eachother not to spend on anything but food & medicine/health. Necessities only for a year.
I'm up for it. My girl E. is very good with money and I have seen her survive bouts of unemployment that no one else I have ever known would have made it through. It goes way back to my parents being crazy with money, er make that my Mom...
So starting today no more unnecessary spending. That means NO Target runs... NO Silpada parties.... and along with that if I lose down to my (been there before) goal weight I have plenty of nice clothing so that solves that problem. I'm kind of excited about this. Getting out of debt will be a huge relief.
The only bummer of the day is that my knee was doing GREAT until I fell yesterday. This morning was a little rough but I kept my time up. Hopefully it's just a tenderness thing and it heals up and it's not a serious injury. I think it will be OK.
The half marathon is Saturday! Woo Hoo! I got some muligrain pancake batter at Trader Joe's for my pre-race breakfast. I am in love with pancakes and of course never eat them under normal circumstances. The race is a late starter at 9am so I can get up early, warm up and get a decent breakfast in. The hubby is working but I will go see him after I run with Subway in hand.
Alrighty then, just a little windy today, what the heck! I just didn't want to dissapoint my readers... HA!
Hugs to all! TTFN ~Rebekah
