Good Morning!! I am so glad that I am a morning person. And DOUBLY glad that my hubby is a morning person too. We don't really have to be out of bed until 4:45AM but our alarm goes off at 4:15 so we can cuddle for a little while before having to 'launch'. More days than not I am running around in the evening and the only time I get to talk to him is in the wee hours of the morning for a few moments. Poor guy.
It is another gloriously sunny, crisp day. Only about 55 degrees but we'll take it.....
Egads, the knees hurt this morning... Cut my 5 miler to 4.5 today, I haven't shortened a run because of pain since after my marathon in 2004. It's so frustrating.... your mind and spirit are so ready to keep going and your body says no way!
I have a 20 miler on Sunday so I think I will knock out 5 miles tomorrow and Thursday, 3 on Friday and take Saturday off to rest the joints.
After this I taper off so I should be feeling much better by race day....33 days and counting!!
So back in the cycle of doing perfect through the week... The hubby is trying to lose 10 lb too so we commited to stick to it this weekend and not waste all our hard work. I weighed in at 150 this am so I am at 'ground zero' to lose 15 pounds flat out. (sometimes I say 15 even when it's 17 or 18

) But now I am truly at the true starting point. That's a fun thought.
I am seriously sleepy today. The sun will help keep me awake but I did not get enough sleep last night. I am in this great Bible Study with a group of ladies and even though we try to stick to being finished at 9PM, I left at 10 last night... When I got home I still had to pack up all my food and snacks for today so I got to bed at 11PM. Which puts 4:15AM mighty early

.
I smile when I hear about people trying to pack lunches once in a while... I think I have packed my food daily for 15 years.

I could never stick to calories if I had to rely on whatever was around me. Plus, I'm a snacker, I don't like 3 big meals so I pack an entire soft cooler every day to last me from 7AM to 6PM. Dinner is the hardest for me and likely becomes a hearty protein shake and a piece of fruit if I know that I will eat everything I can see if I wait to get home. I always have an emergency dinner option with me in case traffic or errands run late....
One of my girls scheduled pedicures on Saturday morning after our 'Exotic Dance' class. OOoohh... so much fun. I can't wait! My little runnin' dogs are tired and sore.....
Keep on going! You can DO it!
Miss you Rev! Hope all is well!
380 miles run & 4200 crunches since 1/8/06!!
