View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

I didn't blog this weekend which throws me off becauseI like to look at my daily net for the weekend at one glance... Oh well... I guess I could just fill them in with something. maybe.

I ate a fair amount and ran allot this weekend so I feel OK. I feel good about eating good foods, and not stuffing myself but Saturday night I ate 1 too many bowls of frosted mini wheats. :) You would think those had more fiber wouldn't you? How dissapointing. I LOVE cereal and milk.

I was babysitting 4 little boys this weekend and last night I sat and ate a WW entree while the 15 year old made cheese and spicy sausage dip with tortilla chips and homemade beef and bean burritos for his little brothers. It wasn't a bad deal. If I had to fix it I would have lost control, but he was more than willing to do it and he did such a great job. Then he cleaned up and put all the leftovers away! He was excited that they would have enough leftovers for lunch today. They are on spring break this week and he was planning ahead. Those boys are so self- supportive. I think they have fed themselves at least one meal a day since the oldest was 5. My parents have always and still do work way too much. Such is the nature of the beast when you raise 7 children I guess. And that just takes care of the necessities!

So my great story of the weekend just makes my heart overflow.... It's not that I did run 20 miles yesterday in just under 3.5 hours (although it did feel great!) My 12 yr old brother has accompanied me on his bike several times before for shorter runs and he begged me to take him yesterday. So I decided to run on a paved multi-purpose trail taht is a 4 mile loop. I typically hate to loop, let alone 5 times, but this way if he needed to rest he could sit on a bench safely and wait for me to come by again. That little trooper rode the entire 20 miles at my side! I think that is amazing and I am so proud of him! It was a gorgeous day, sunny and 55 degrees so he got a little pink from the sun.... I have to call today to see how sore he is. I wish I could take him on the marathon track next month :)
He chatters the entire time and the time passed so quickly. With that time I am setting my marathon goal at a conservative 4.5 hours. I know the hills in Cincy are killer so that may have a bigger impact than I think but we'll just have to see.

I didn't weigh in this am, I just didn't feel thin. But my slacks fit quite loose so that was encouraging. I've said it before but while I am in heavy distance training I tend to let myself eat when I am hungry and just try to avoid sugar and not over-eat and I maintain just fine. I will focus on losing that last 10 pounds after the race maybe, I am tapering off in distance now so I might get half of it off over the next few weeks.

My cousin is in town at my parents a few days. She may be able to come by for lunch! I haven't seen her in a few years so that would be fun.

I'm off! No exercize today, maybe some crunches later, but need recovery time till tomorrow morning. The knees are a little ticked off! God Bless Ibuprofen :)

410 miles run and 4400 crunches since 1/8/06!!
TTFN! Hugs to all!! ~Rebekah
