I see my 'Flying Pig' picure finally showed up! I wondered how long it would take.... I like him.
What a beautiful morning! It was 41 went I headed out for my jog and will warm up to 74. Ohio is great for it's cool mornings... I know some places you can't get a moment of rest from the heat. When the sun is gone we cool down fairly fast.
I have started running without my MP3. Partly because it is acting up (I hate having to mess with it when it stops all of the sudden) and partly because I always wean myself off of it before a race I cannot wear it in. I know some people sneak them in but I have no desire to be a pain in the arse.
It takes a week or so to get used to listening to the birds and the sound of my own pace again... (oh yeah, and my breathing

) It's a nice change though and sometimes it is more calming....
I am starting to get nervous about the race. Yuck.
This morning a car pulling out of a side street rolled down his window and told me I "was a dedicated little thing, he's seen me even run in the rain... good job and good morning...." Boy did that make me feel great! I run mostly the same 5 to 6 miles every morning between 5 and 6 am and even the Public Trans. Bus drivers wave at me now. It's like my own little community.

I only do distance on the weekends normally unless it is a particularly beautiful afternoon and I can't resist an evening run. Hey, it happens!
I mindlessly wandered over to the Boston marathon site to check on the results from yesterday.... It never crossed my mind to even think of qualifying for the Boston until Trishie mentioned that it was a long term goal of hers. Maybe not this year or next but if I get down to a better weight for my knees and get a coach I would seriously consider it. Hmmm. Thanks Trishie, for planting a seed! You guys are so motivating to me, it's unbelievable!
Some days, like this morning when I am having an excellent run I am overwhelmed with the blessings in my life... my friends, my family, my own 2 legs, my husband.... Everything I need to live well and stick to losing those pounds!!
I have $2.00 in my sweet tooth jar! One of the forums on sugar addictions suggested putting a quarter in your jar every time you resist a sweet. Considering the Mom-in-law under our roof made choc chip cookies and homemade yellow cake with chocolate icing and nuts for Easter and it will be on the table for an indefinate amount of time... I should have enough money for an entire wardrobe shortly!

I am very excited about this project! It may work for me yet.
Yesterday was a total hunger fest but not too over the top. I excused it to Aunt Flo coming to visit late this week. Cowardly way to justify excess eating but I took it. Pretty ashamed about it. Weigh-in is Thursday. I hope to recover by then. Getting ahead for a change would be nice. Oh, right.... I could get ahead if I did this the right way!! ARGH!!
Bit windy today.... sorry. Bible Study is tonight... missed my girls last week. Saved calories for a latte after work. Yummy.
PS. My food diary is 99% accurate if anyone cares..... It really helps me to take responsibility.
I don't record any weightless exercise (crunches, lunges, squats) but I record my running and ALL food...
Hugs and Kisses!!
