View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

Good Tuesday Morning!!

I tip toed to the scale 2 days early for weigh-in... I wanted to see how I did after eating more than usual from marathon weekend. Not too bad! Up 2 pounds but I was anticipating much worse. I am feeling 'in the groove' now. Training for a long race for me makes consistent weight loss difficult. I get somewhat leaner but I still need to drop 10-15 pounds to wear the majority of my summer stuff. When you are running 50-60 miles a week you have to feed well. I just go up and down the same 2 or 3 pounds then....

But training is over for now and I am ready to get into a maintenance mode. I was seriously considering training for the Columbus Marathon and run 2 this year but I think I will just slow down ane enjoy my summer. Maybe a 1/2 marathon and a few 5K's.

I am registered for a 5K this weekend but I think I will walk it with my Momma. She's not a runner and my knee is doing better day by day but it will give me an excuse to spend some time with Mom

I am so anxious for summer in full swing!! I love the warmth of it and the sunshine and the cookouts! Food on the grill is a no-brainer. You can't really go wrong if you stay away from the desserts and macaroni salads...:) Grilled veggies and fresh fruit, here I come!! :D

Did 3.5 miles in the same time this morning as yesterday. Run/walk. I wrapped my knee in an ACE bandage and that seemed to help a little. It's worst at night. I wake up allot to a nasty ache. The hubby says it makes me cry out when I move in my sleep which is a little embarassing :$

I checked out the community center near my work and it would be perfect for some swimming and spinning... It's very reasonable but I still won't be able to get the money together for a month or so... Something to look forward to... ;)

Back to work! Hugs to all! Have a great CK day!!
