Life doesn't get any better..... the Dh is up at 6:30 ready to tackle the hedge between us and the neighbors... I'm off to get us some Starbucks and come back to help. I haven't been in there in awhile. The DH stops every morning so the girls always like to chat and laugh about him when I come in. I LOVE being married to such a 'people person' We have so much fun together with everyone.

4:00pm ~~ The yard is looking awesome! We've been at it all day... Planted a dozen 1 gallon perennials ( some replacements from winter losses ) and 6 flats of annuals to fill in... The DH chose verbena and snap dragons and ageratum and dwarf zinnias... I picked some potted osteospermums for around the deck stairs ( outrageously priced but so beautiful ) We are going to be busy watering till it rains again. Last summer watering was a daily chore... It was a hot one. I have a feeling it's going to be the same this year.
We don't have as much new stuff out this year so it won't be so bad.

We are going to Mom and Dad's for dinner and I have a feeling I am going to allow myself too much... I will stick to chicken and no red meat, and moderate servings of pasta salad and baked beans... my big splurge will be the coookies...

When tonight is over, back to normal.
