Half way through the week! Can you believe it??
I had my Relay for Life meeting last night. I haven't been running on the bum knee at all for the last 10 days hoping to get it well enough to run the relay on 6/9&10. But after getting together with some fellow running junkies last night I couldn't hold back...
I jogged 3.5 miles this morning and it hurt but it was OK!! I am so very excited! I couldn't 'bust out' at all. I tried to do a couple fartleks but the knee won't allow it. I look really lopsided when my right leg wants to truck along and I am dragging like the hunchback of Notre Dam.
So... I am still on a high about that!! I was really great with food all last week and only Monday went over. Last night I tossed a few Tbsp. of homemade hummus back on some bell pepper strips and a handful of mini pretzels but I stopped at that and came home through the back door and walked straight through the kitchen, past the freezer (home of the beloved ice cream) and directly to bed! YAY!!
Of course now that I've actually exercised I have to adjust my meal plans from what I've gotten used to this past week. It's just as hard to add food after awhile as it is to drop food in the first place...
We are going to the mall tonight, the DH wants a haircut at 'Mops'. It's this cool salon chain with a store front in the mall. The hair clippers all hang from the ceiling and hairdryers and stuff. It's hip. They only do basic cuts, I've never seen a woman in there getting her hair cut... all the stylist are cute, little young hotties... As long as it makes him happy...
Better get back to work. I certainly do not feel thin lately.... I have been so very good but I don't feel like getting on the scale just yet. Normally I am the daily weigh-in obsessed one but right now I am just tired of being 'stuck' and I'm not ready to deal with working so hard for nothing.
Maybe tomorrow.
