View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day
I'm actually entering this on Monday, playing a little 'catch up' because I'm anal.
The overnight relay was Friday (yesterday) at 6pm through today at noon.
What a blast!! It was a little tiring but nothing too hard...
I picked Jalon (my 11 yr old brother) up at about 4pm yesterday and we got to the high school plenty early to get a great tent site. It was so much fun and he helped everyone out with water while they were running their laps on the track almost all night.
They had a live band who were great 'cover' material for several hours. Then they had a DJ the rest of the time. All kinds of stuff for the kids all night long and a memorial service at 10pm where they circled the track with luminaries for cancer victims.
The DH stopped by with a 'care bag' for Jalon with some snacks and gatorade and a graet kite. It was a breezy night and he had it in the air for quite a while. Then the two 'boys' had some pizza and DH went home to rest up.

He came back by in the morning to check on me and bring me some Starbucks. I LOVE

that man....
I had to be at my weekend job ASAP so I didn't stay after my last 'shift'. All in all it was a great time and I always meet the most awesome people at charity runs. Jalon said at one point that he thought it was "fun helping other people "

and I thought that was all I needed for the entire event.
It IS fun helping others and I am so glad that he loves to go to these things with me.
I stayed well within my calories, drank all and more of my water, didn't get enough rest... I can sleep when I die

/. IMHO sleep is overrated.
Hugs! -Rebekah
