I truly must be the slowest individual on the planet.
It's only taken me a couple of years to be completely honest and admit that the mornings I don't exercise there is a 99% chance that I am going to blow the day in every possible way... I am sluggish, tired, crave sugar and low quality carbs, drink too much coffee....
So today I dragged myself out of bed at 4:45am, ran 5.5 miles (in 50 minutes!!

) and have drank 64 oz of water, feel great and satisfied at 2:30 pm and I have dinner left and an iced soy latte as a treat!

It is a beautiful day here...Warm and sunny. My fave time of year. I actually like to be sweaty
I drove over to Mom's at lunch to check on the little guys. They are used to being home all summer alone during the days (15,13,11&8) But I only work 6 minutes away so I like to check in on them when I can.
I took them pizza and bottled water and light butter micro popcorn. They are such good guys.

They know that I won't buy them soda or much sweets and they never bat an eye. They were perfectly happy with the Aquafina and lunch.
I am babysitting this weekend and I have already been to Trader Joe's for multigrain pancake mix and some other surprises...
It's going to be a rough weekend for the DH. He isn't crazy about me having to stay at Mom's all weekend and the MIL will be out of town also so he dwells on the fact that we would have the house to ourselves if I was home.... I may be able to convince him to just come over and hang out at the pool with the boys and I. The big goober.
I have always had a really bad tendency to over commit myself to things... I worked 2 and 3 jobs my entire life until I married the second time and realized that it is good to spend quantity and quality time together!
It's not even that I can't say no, more often I just don't want to say no. Working fulfills me and distracts me from food. I have to tell myself to stop and think a minute every time a boss asks if I can help out during a busy time or do some extra work, etc. It's not always worth it. Relationships are most definitely more important!!
Enough about that....
