Good Morning & Happy Hump Day!!
So yesterday went very well despite my dread of an evening race...
You have used 618 out of your net daily budget of 1000 calories and have 382 calories remaining. 16% of the calories are from fat, 27% from protein, 56% from carbs and 0% from alcohol.
Cool

I surprised myself! I felt good... I grabbed a grilled chicken salad an hour and a half before the race which was cutting it close but I have no appetite after a hard run and I was afraid to be
too far under net.....
So tummy was a little gurgly but otherwise fine...
It was a John Bingham race and they never do anything half a$$ so it was very well run. We got an embarrassingly huge medal and Wendy's had cases of pre-wrapped freschetta sandwiches at the finish line. I wish I would have thought to grab one for the hubby's lunch today. I didn't want one but I totally forgot about getting one for him.

Thank goodness they had bananas... yummy! I also had a small Powerade which I usually avoid but my arms and neck were feeling a little tingly at mile 3 so I hoped the Powerade would keep any light-headedness...
It was a kick off for the Wendy's LPGA tournament for Children's Hospital.. hence the 'Fore' mile distance
I saw several friends and my old TNT coach! I have the best memories of running Anchorage with Jim... he is amazing!!
I always meet a few new friends and it was a great crowd... Christie Kerr (LPGA Pro) was there and chatted with everybody... I met a sweet girl who is running the Air Force Marathon in 2 weeks... I didn't realize it was in Dayton, Ohio! Only 45 min. west of me... Oh Rev!

It's halfwau between Rev and me !
I started pretty strong and about mile 1.5-3.5 I started pacing right with this gentleman about 10 yrs my senior.... I was so happy to pace with someone so well! A bit into our little trip together he said..
you have a really good pace... I said 'I thought I was keeping up with you!'
Well, whichever it is, just keep it up
One of my fave. things about the sport of running is the comraderie. Especially on longer races but this one was pretty laid back...
I ran a 4 miler in just under 36 minutes at 7pm so that was great for me!! I felt like I had given a serious effort.

Up at 5:30 this am and ran 3.5 strong & steady... felt very much like a recovery run. I don't know about most people but when I actually race I am so sore afterwards... training runs are nothing to me but actual races tear me up!

It's a good feeling, just odd I guess...
We are hitting balls tonight at the driving range... that will be nice

We had such a good time playing a few rounds together on vacation that the hubby and I decided to have a 'golf' date at least once a week... sometimes at the range, sometimes 9 holes...
I'll check in later... man, I have GOT to go grocery shopping... there is literally NOTHING in the house and packing lunch is becoming a struggle

A girl can only eat tuna salad and crackers so many days in a row....
hugs, Rebekah
PS Note to self... do not self med. with Advil PM
unless you have 10 hours to sleep it off!!
764 miles run in 2006!! 236 to go!!
WW PTS = 19
*** I really must say that my chest and triceps are screaming at me today!! But it feels oh, so good!!

I do think I went a little heavy on the weights but oh well! It will feel good to use them again on Sat!! Lower body & crunches are tomorrow.... Ya know having alternating days actually becomes so much more exciting?!

I mean, if all I do is run every day then I may skip a day and think...
'I can just run again tomorrrow...' But if I skip a day and it has the potential to throw the whole routine off then I'm more motivated to stay on track!

Just a thought... or two
