It's Monday, It's gorgeous out, my hubby is home safe and sound...
Life is good.
We kicked off our bowling season last night with Uncle M & Aunt T.... Tons of fun and I think is going to be a great distraction from Sunday evening pizza attacks
I didn't do too bad... Next week our teammates are going to be in Vegas so I'm going to have to figure out the computer thingy by myself

Everyone seems very nice though and I think they will help me out. Matty did very well. He's pretty much good at everything
Made it to bed by a little after 9pm and slept like a baby till 4:30 this morning. I got up and ran 3.5 miles and then did lunges, squats and calf raises in the driveway.... I got to work 45 min early!
I got a vase and an amaryllis bulb to grow on my desk here at work. I love to see people so fascinated at things that grow, and showing them that growing flowers it isn't a big secret... With any luck we should have red flowers by Turkey Day.
I have one little birdie on my feeder this morning... I hope more of them find it soon. I had an entire flock last spring but I haven't filled the feeder for a couple of months.
Better get some work done... be back soon....

830.5 miles run in 2006!....169.5 to go!
1:30pm **** Tonight's agenda includes tanning

and mowing the lawns (yep, Monday night ritual) Thank goodness it's the nicest day of the week I think! It's supposed to be OK tomorrow, rain Wed & Thurs and then waking up to 33 degrees on Friday!
The Columbus Marathon is Sunday. Those poor souls. How crazy is that!? A fabulous stretch of weather and then BAM! I'm not running this year, I am working a water table. I know I am going to be bumming that I am not running but it'll be motivating to do some more long runs
Def. running Cols. next year!
Em and I are maybe catching the movie 'Last Kiss' on Thursday.
4:15pm **** Did I mention that I am so thrilled to have My Beloved home

I had to rech over and touch him like 50 times on Saturday night and couldn't sleep til after midnight.... I am so very blessed. Tonight we get to do one of our favorite activities together... yardwork!
This is SO true and TOO funny!! ........ ***compliments of Trishie

You know you're a runner ...
-when your shoes have more miles on them than your car does
-when you have chafing in strange places
-when you combine phrases like "10 mile run" and "Easy Run" in the same breath
-when you can eat your weight in spaghetti
-when you spend more on training clothes than work clothes (true

)
-when when you've run, showered, and eaten breakfast (twice) before your family/roommates even when wake up
-when when you tell people you ran a 10k and you are shocked that people think that is a long run
-when your spouse and kids (and maybe even friends) know your PRs at different distances
-when your friends know that if you don't answer your phone, you're probably running (true

)
-when you try to convince people to run a 5k because it's "only" 3 miles
-when you pass on going out with your friends on Friday night because you have to get up early and run (many times

)
-when you no longer have to explain to your friends why cotton isn't the best choice for running attire
-when you come back after a 1 hour run and your spouse says 'That was fast. didn't expect you back so soon.' (sometimes

)
-when you not only eat gels, but you know the best flavors for every brand
-when you hear a song on the radio and say to yourself, "hey, that would be a great tune to run to..." and make mental notes to download it later
(ALWAYS !!)
-when the chip that you carry is not on your shoulder or edible
-when you consider pasta to be a food group
-when you chuck in the finishers' chute
-when the sports drinks are in front of the soda, beer, and juice in your fridge
-when you have two eggs, two pieces of toast, a slice of cheese, a glass of juice, and a yogurt for breakfast and are still hungry by 11 AM
-when pasta is the only food you'll eat two nights before a race
-when you know what it means to hit the wall
-when you spit (I did learn to spit while running LOL)
-when you use frozen peas/vegetables to ice
-when you know what PR's are
-when you won't drive by any running store without a quick look inside.
-when you read each month's issue of Runner's World cover to cover within 24 hours (yup!)
-when you get up earlier to run on the weekends than you do for school/work. (sometimes 3:30am)
-when you have hundreds of safety pins scattered around your house. LOL!!
-when you look dumbfounded when everyone asks you how long your marathon was. (26.2 miles..) LOL!!
-when you have a very distinct "watch tan"
-when you have strong opinions concerning the various flavors of Gatorade and GU
-when you do your stretching exercises while you're standing in line with a group of people
-when you know a singlet is not a small single person LOL!!
-when your bumper sticker says "26.2"
-when you don't even bother to run if you don't have time for at least 4 miles
-when you avoid buying stick deodorant in gray containers since at 4am you keep getting it mixed up with your body glide
-when you find it perfectly normal to wear a short-sleeve shirt, shorts and gloves TOO TRUE!!

-when you nod, wink, wave, smile, groan, gasp, sigh and speak (depending on your run length) to every runner that goes past in the opposite direction ...many times
