Warning... a bunch or reflective mumbo-jumbo to follow...

It's been awhile since I've just taken the time to remember what I have in my life...
I have been letting silly details in life overwhelm my gratitude and love for the important things.

I don't know if it started when Matty was gone for the month... or when I started working 7 days a week this spring but whatever the cause.. this has got to stop!

God did not give me the most incredible husband on the face of the earth and the most wonderful extended family on both sides so that I can mope about getting chubby or being close to broke most days!

I am usually a very upbeat person but I do think that age slows you down and makes you just a wee bit more cynical...

I think that my job is very low-energy and I have to learn to overcome that... I have always had very high energy jobs where everyone is trying to get things done on a deadline and it is predominantly younger co-workers who are fun-loving and joking around alot while they work.
I now work with roughly 100 people whom I barely know even after working here a year and I don't think that status is ever going to change. But back to the basics of why I am here. a) I needed a job b) the pay and benefits were at least a lateral move c) the hours are much better for making a family an are consistent.
These are positive things and I need to remember that every moment.

We are headed into the season where I won't see Matty so much as the cold settles in and the deer start roaming through the woods...
I will be able to sneak a day in here and there to take a long weekend and go with him. But he likes to spend some time alone down in those hills...

I just really felt like I needed to remember what I do have in my life and I don't ever want to take for granted.

I that Matty always comes back to the shower to give me a kiss goodbye in the morning...
I that Matty always asks me how my run was when I come in the door...
I that Matty holds me so close when I am cold...
I that we are always honest with eachother about everything...
I that I trust my husband... and that means everything to me...
I that Matty is patient with me always...
I that Matty always seems to know just when we need time together

Didn't run this am... Stayed up and got that monster pile of laundry ironed and put away and then finished up 2 more loads this morning!

I just needed that extra 30 min of cuddling with the blankets...

You know how the sun shines at a different angle in the winter and summer?? Well, we just moved into this building in March and I am right next to some rather large windows (yes, that is fantastic! ) In the summer the sunlight never really shined that close to my desk.... but today it is slanting in all across my desk and it is so lovely!! Granted, we certainly do not get sun every day in Ohio in the winter but when it does shine I'll get a good dose! Just a big ol' FYI there....

Bible Study tonight!
Plenty of work to do this a.m.!
