What a crazy, mixed up week!
After house-sitting at D&J's for this last week we are moving to M&L's tomorrow for a week at their house! From babyitting a yelllow lab t o a black lab

Both super cute, but one's breath could knock you over and the other one's gas kills houseplants as it walks by....
But, lesson learned. I am going to buy plenty of 'legal' food for myself tomorrow at the grocery and this neighborhood is much more condusive to running!
It really is funny that they are going away on back to back weeks.

It has been nice to just hang out more than we usually allow ourselves, only because we aren't staring at our own surroundings and seeing things that need done. LOL
We are having some freaky warm weather here.. yesterday 68 and today 70 degrees. Odd to say the least. Good break for me though... there are a few perennials sitting around in pots that need to be planted before the ground freezes
Matt saw quite a few deer yesterday! I was surprised that they were moving around much, as warm as it was. He said he saw a decent 8 pt. buck that he let go on so maybe I can find him again later.

I know, I know, most of you do not like the idea of hurting 'bambi'. I promise we are very responsible hunters and we are very good about using the meat that we harvest all year long.
I really enjoy 'trap' and target shooting mostly. Matt has a 'Super Black Eagle' 12g. Benelli shotgun that is a beautiful gun. He's been saying that we are going to have to get one for me so he can have his back.
I can't decide if I want a new handgun first though... My .32 is nice to carry but a little small for the range. Hmmm. They are so darn expensive!
When I was younger I was petrified of firearms but I feel so empowered now that I am much more educated and experienced. We have alot of friends in the 'training' field and they are always willing to teach us.
OK... I don't know where all that came from except that I wish I was sitting in the woods today watching deer wander by and squirrels tossing up the leaves and turkeys scratching along... bummer.
I'll be back....
Hugs to all... Becka
PS... Did you see Rutger's last night?? OMG. That was great! Go Dan

I really hope they get past WV...
OSU at Northwestern tomorrow... then one week till OSU/MI. Word of advice... don't leave you car within 5 miles of campus that night... unless you don't mind it getting torched. It's really not all students. It's the riff raff that live off campus just to drink with and mooch off of the college kids. That's the problem with an inner city campus hosting 62,000 students on a daily basis. Yikes.
Oh, and Columbus, OH is the 3rd drunkest city in the US! Haha... I for one do not contribute to that statistic, thank you very much

FRIDAY!!
~~^^**~~*~^~~**~^^ 11:15... so I am not really bored out of my mind but I thought about going to see a movie by myself tonight and then I thought maybe I'll ask one of the girls here at work... so J is coming over to watch a movie and get something to eat... that should be fun. Break up the quiet time with Matty gone and still work on my cross stitch Christmas stuff! (I am super slow

)
When I talked to my beloved this a.m. he mentioned that he was going to hunt in the morning and then go home to watch the game. I thought he meant
here home and I got super excited... He realized the tone in my voice and said real quick... no babe, I'm sorry, I meant Aunt C's house (where he stays at the farm) *big sigh* Ok... man, I miss him when he's away

He'll be home Sunday afternoon
I am really happy about that 10K on Sunday. It's for Children's Hospital Hospice fundraiser... what a great cause

I'm dubbing you with a new nickname: Ms. Guns & Ammo.
=D ... I've only shot at empty cans, but I was a good enough shot to keep RPS' friends from teasing me much that day.

I am so afraid of guns...it's not even funny. And the cross stitching...is it easier than crochet? Hmmmm...i think this calls for a visit to the craft store today!

My sister just learned how to pluck a bird!!! Her fiance is a hunter and she's all into it now too.
:)
I like shooting guns. I just don't think I could kill anything. Venison is yummy though

Saw the 2nd half of the Lou/Rutg game last night ... quite a come-from-behind victory. And I actually root for Lou, what with being from there and all. The Writer was just in from Columbus when he joined us last night, and he would probably second the notion of Columbus being in the top 5, if his students this week were any indication!
