Wow. That was a whirlwind weekend!

Sat... slept till 6:30... Did several loads of laundry... cleaned up the house... went to see my Mom, Dad and 4 youngest brothers for a couple of hours... took my 15 yr old brother and met up with 28 year old brother to watch the OSU/NW game.
Then we went to see 'Stranger Than Fiction', Will Ferrell's new film. Pretty good, by the way. :y:
I have really been in the mood to see a movie in a theatre with Matty lately and I did go to the theatre, but now I still want to go with Matty
Since Matt wasn't home on Sat night I let Roebuck ( the sweet ol' black lab we are 'babysitting') up on the bed. He was so happy I got lots of doggie kisses before he settled into a heap at the end of the bed. I miss having a doggie around all the time. We are gone from home so much that it would be a lot of stress to worry about but it's so nice to play Mommy once in awhile. :teeth1:

Sun... up at 5:30 for an 8am 10K... great race, great course, lots of highs school cross-country kids running so it was fun to see that. They gave extra goodies to all kids under 15. Like water bottles and frisbees and stuff. Really nice, family crowd. I wanted to break 55:00 but I did it in 55:06... Oh well.
Went back home to try to catch a nap but I only had 45 min to wind down and sleep. I think I might have gotten a 20 min nap. Then off to the Beat Michign 5K on campus at noon!! GREAT crowd! All in their scarlet and grey... all shouting OSU chants and yelling the entire way. :laugh5: We started on the south side of the 'Horshoe' stadium and circled it and then ran around Mirror Lake and across the oval, past the Faculty Club and the Main Library... back up Lane Ave., through the Math area and back to the Engineering bldg.
This town is about to come unglued over this crazy football game. I just really hope that we win! :afraid4:

After my 2 races... we splurged on pizza for dinner (I only went over 50 cal!! :y: ) Then we had bowling and I just couldn't get enough water... um, can you say pizza???
I was hungry when we got home from bowling but I had a popsicle and called it a night with the food. I fell asleep before 9:30.

Up at 5:00 this morning and at work by 7:05....
Skipped running today... a little stiff... :( But tomorrow I will be back on track!

I  doggies
I  homemade veggie soup
I  the fall colors
I  that I have 2 working legs

924.5 miles ran in 2006!!... 75.5 to go!! :y:

So My Mom called and said she made chicken/vegetable/barley soup and did I want to come over for lunch.... She had made me soup... and served a plate with a few thin slices of pepper jack cheese and 5 triscuits and a handful of grapes ( which she informed me was an oz of cheese and 1/2 serving of crackers) and then she brought me a fat free pudding dessert in a fancy glass dish for dessert. :laugh5:
She is hilarious. God love her. She is on Opti-Fast with her Dr and she has done so well, she is 25 pounds down and is hanging in there with the whole liquid shakes only thing...
We have had our differences over the years but have grown together so much it's great.
I don't spend nearly enough time with her... :(
So here's a shout out to the Mom's who drove us really crazy in out teens and twenties but who have turned out alright (after we 'broke' them in :laugh5: ) God bless 'em.
Do you say that alot Tammy? :hi: It just seems like you would.... ;)

I'm super excited about the OSU/MI game too, but I'm rooting for a different team :$ I might not be able to read your blog on Monday if the pain of defeat is still strong. That is, if MI is defeated ;)

Good job on your races! You should take Matt to see Borat. It is the funniest movie I have ever seen.
