... A little over a day till the BIG GAME !!
One of the VP's just got an email that a buddy might have to give up his ticket and Brooks might get to go. That would be crazy!!
Of course thousands of people are going down just to party and tailgate and watch the game on big screen TV's in the parking lot too... There used to be this crazy system of tailgating really close the the stadium where families had parking spaces reserved for generations, literally...
But our current president (who is leaving soon) abolished most of the tailgating in those areas and abolished all drinking at tailgates period. Obviously that doesn't stand necessarily, but you do have to be pretty discreet about it.
There is plenty of drinking at a few designated spots on Lane Ave of course that are heavily patrolled. You have Hiney-Gate, River Watch Towers' parking lot, and Varsity Club....
It will be fun watching it in the warm cozy den at Uncle John's but wandering campus would certainly be a rush!
We went to dinner with a girl working with Matt this week... it was very nice to go out after my semi-crazy day and she is a super nice gal. We had a great time and got home pretty late for us... (11:00pm) I slep till 6:00 this morning!!
I have a long run planned with T & N tomorrow so I can make up for not running today
We actually slept with the TV on all night.. ICK! So I had crazy dreams like I usually do when that happens... BUT! This was the first night that I have slept in our own bed in 13 days! I slept pretty darn good.
BIG tailgate/ cookout at work today... One of the engineers is setting up big speakers and playing OSU songs all afternoon outside... It will be a great day to be out around a hot grill... clear, dry and high of 48!
Have to pick up Matty's chili supplies on the way home.. we are taking a big pot to Uncle John's... where I get to see his 2 new horses! I am hoping that I can sneak in a ride but prolly won't have the time this trip... So much to do always.. and so little time
That's it for now... check-in later

B
I

my husband with all my heart.
I

my life.
'Twas the night before game time,
And all 'round the shoe,
Not a creature was sleeping,
They were screaming "Beat Blue!"
The banners were hung by the lamp posts with care
In hopes that St.Troy would find Ginn through the air.
Drunken and crazy and burning their beds,
While visions of kick-off danced through their heads.
When all of the sudden there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the keg to see what was the matter.
When there in the sky, in a Coupe DeVille sleigh,
Was Woody Hayes decked out in scarlet and gray.
He looked on the crowd that was gathered around,
And said that he heard that a game was in town.
"I came here to watch it, and wish you good luck.
Though it's not like you need it, cause Michigan Sucks!"

LOL... Dan! When TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land) Comes out to do 'script Ohio' Then one person from the suzaphone section prances out to 'dot the I' in O-H-I-O.... It's a huge deal to be chosen to do this and only the suzaphone section votes on it. They have actually had 3 or 4 alumni celebrities asked to perform the honor and at the Minnesota game this year the had Jack Nicklaus dot the I. It was way cool and he was so emotional...

It is actually being voted on at the ESPN website as one of the most famous college football traditions. I knew quite a few band members in college and attended a few um 'I DOT' parties...
Watching the band do the script Ohio routine is memorable for sure.
Thanks Dan!
Good luck to your up and coming east coast team there!!
