Did
NOT want to get up to run today but I knew that I wouldn't be able to run on Sat and Sun when hunting so I can't slack off today and tomorrow!

Not to mention it was the last morning of 60 degrees!!
I went shopping with the gracious B-Day gift from MIL

I got 2 whole outfits and an extra top that is adorable on! I am wearing my new black slacks with silvery pinstripes and a white tailored button up with all these pleats in it. The pants are a little big but I am kind of between sizes and I didn't want to buy them too tight so I was thinking that I will just have them altered when they get too big to keep on.
Matt changed the oil on the 4-wheeler while I shopped and then we started in on the tree when I got home. I was so hungry that I ate a tortilla with turkey and some fat free cheddar which is fine but I wish I could have gone without it

We got started kinda late and MIL was home from church so it wasn't as romantic as it is when it's just us but oh well....
It is dreary today but still eerily warm.
The office is still getting used to all the change-over with the new boss and all seem afraid of their own shadows...

I'm glad that I am pretty far out of the direct path of anyone... My desk is literally right when you come in the door. I actually carry the title of office manager but mainly I assist the sales dept. a little... answer the phones and handle any greeting/reception needs. Help with Board of Director meetings and salesman exp. reports and other odds and ends like vacuuming up after locksmiths in the conference room.
I
do get to put up the Christmas tree and listen to as many Christmas songs as I want at work!
I got another deer permit for this weekend last night... Poor Matty was stressing about me getting it. You have to buy your own, it's not something you can just pick up for someone else... Wouldn't it be funny if all things in life were like that? LOL... Don't know why that thought just made me giggle...
Of course I went into Dick's to get it and immediately realized that I had made a grave mistake.... They have awesome running gear and clothes in that store.

None for me yet!! 10 more pounds!!!
It is pretty pricey there....
I am taking the (almost) 16 yr old brother to an art gallery for a school project tonight... Hope it doesn't take too long, I have a tree to finish decorating!
Tomorrow we are getting dinner with K and then heading straight down to Uncle John's for the weekend of deer hunting... It's going to be super cold!!! Brrrr... I hate being cold.

I must remember to take plenty of hand warmers! Matt said he got these really neat adhesive 'body warmers' too!!
Better check out the NoMo thread and get working!
965.5 miles run in 2006... 34.5 to go!
I

you Matty

I agree with Target for my workout clothes. However, I always spend WAY to much there. I swear there is something in the air that makes me spend money in that store!
:) I hope you do prepare to be bundled up this weekend. If where you're hunting is going to be cold like here you're going to need layers! Many, many layers! Have fun tonight!!

Becka it's not enough to have the # 1 College football team you have to have the # 1 college basketball team as well? Well this would have been a better comment before they lost last night but every college basketball team loses once in a while.

I love the image of you in your new outfit. Black pans with silvery pinstripes sounds so snappy. Cheers and have a great day. Judy

"adhesive 'body warmers' "? That sounds like a euphemism for s-e-x to me. Have fun at the museum.

Okay, Bekka, in your spare time (har har) you need to run by Target. I went a week or so ago, and spent $35 bucks on clothes. I got 2 pairs of running pants, 4 running shirts, and 3 tank tops (that I ended up taking back). They have some seriously good sales on their gear because it's cold outside.

There's no way I could leave a sporting goods store without some new clothes! You deserve a medal or something for that!!!!

I love the array of clothing in Dicks, but man is it overpriced. I cannot get over how much running gear costs. I will never buy workout clothes anywhere except TJ Maxx and Target, how do people afford $90 running shirts?
