It's 7:55:45 and I am back in my stand.
I have been here since 5:45:00 but I had to wait for the sun to come up so I could pull out my handy little notepad and start jotting down the big news!!At about 16:50:00 an 8 pt buck came down the trail towards my stand. I was so nervous and my heart was beating out of my chest. I wasn't nervous about shooting him I was just nervous about getting a good shot or him seeing me or smelling me and taking off.

15:37:58 according to my running wristwatch...I am sitting here jotting down food and exercise for the weekend and starting (yes, just starting...) my Christmas list.
It is an amazingly mild day today and supposed to hold out till the middle of next week. Kind of a pain in the rear when you are trying to prepare for an entire day in the elements at 4a.m. But I really shouldn't complain about 65 degrees and sun in late November....

Happy Turkey Day!!
I slept in till 6:45a.m.!!
I crept out of the sleeping house to my race at about 7:30....Of course after starting the car and scraping the frost off the windshield I suddenly remembered that my bib # was still on the dresser. Sheesh.
That would have sucked.... 
It was barely 30 degrees but bright and they had a tent to block any wind while we waited for the start time....
I always get to races way too early and tried to bounce around in the cold for an hour ...

Thanks to my girl Monica I have a 100 day challenge buddy
Last night I got up at 11pm to find the potty and almost walked toward the kitchen... I stopped and went back to bed without losing it. Man, though, I was hungry
I really liked my turkey and onion and egg beater omelet for dinner with salsa and I thought that would hold me over but I guess not.... Oh well, that's how it goes after nearly a week of gluttony...
