Picture is of yesterday's B-Day Boy who I sent balloons to school for...

hee hee hee
Yippee! It's SO pretty!

O.K. yes, we are not even getting a solid inch... Sorry Monica, that's what you get for living too close to 'the lake'

It wasn't snowing at all when I ran at 5:10... It wasn't even that windy. But watch out 2 hours later.... That's another reason I do so much pre-dawn running esp. in the winter. That seems to be the mildest part of the day.
Speaking of running... I captured another epiphany and haven't lost it since I stopped moving my legs.

LOL.... I realized this morning that no matter how far I run I have this internal monitor that starts to get totally tired at exactly the same stage of the run. So, if I run 3 miles or 18 miles, I don't feel like I
just have to stop until I can see the yard light at the corner of our street and the last crossing street before our house. Isn't that weird? The other thing that I absolutely

about distance running is that right about the time that the super fast starters are crashing I just run on by and actually feel stronger after 6,7 & 8 miles or more. Lord knows, I need to work on my speed but when Matt was standing at mile 20 at the Flying Pig he said he started to worry because a lot of runners were looking really bad. Then he said I came by and looked great!
I always go through stages in my running and after I finish a marathon... First I start to slack a lot and it takes a month or so to get back in the mood... But there is always that excitement when you are just beginning training for another race... I downloaded a training program yesterday that is a lot more aggressive than the ones that I have used before and I am really catching the 'bug' again... St Louis... here I come!! With my darling cheering squad ie. Matty
I straightened my hair this morning and I love it all long and blonde... It just really dries it out and stresses it so I don't torture it too often except for special occassions... Anyways, everyone has commented on it.
I really have to get on the scale tomorrow... I don't want to but I have to check in.

From here on out I think I can lose 10 pounds by the wedding in Jan. I would love to get a new outfit.
We picked up our balls last night (bowling, that is

) They had several leagues playing and no open lanes to try them out on but we may try to sneak over on Sat to play around with our new balls. Tee hee...
I finished the tree last night

and had some of Matty's roast and trimmings... YUMMY!! I think it was a roast from my buck but it might have been the doe he got earlier.... Matt is a great cook. I don't mind one little bit!

I'd rather clean up after him in the kitchen and kiss on him and bother him in general...
Thurman (the 16 yr old brother) is standing outside a Game Stop store at this very moment in the wind and snow waiting in line for a Wii game console for his younger brothers' Christmas.. He's such a sweet heart. He is going to call me when he is done so I can give him a ride to school later.... I'll have to stop and get hhim a hot chocolate...

I hope he gets one...
Well. My work email has 'dinged' several times while I have been working on this so I better get to it....
Hugs to all!

Monica

no WAY on the latte over cake. What beats cake? NOTHING beats cake!! It's like "rock" in rock paper scissors. And a latte is the scissors. Oh wait - then what's the paper? Chocolate covered almonds maybe? But a latte isn't as good as THAT either. While I defer to your wise running insights and ability to go out even in the cold, you are just plain incorrect

Have a great day. Hair torture does ruin hair so moderation is key with that.

How long did it take you to straighten your hair? Mine's naturally straight as a bored, so no prob, but my best friend has the most gorgeous curly red hair on the planet and she's been straightening it lately and it takes her...40 minutes!!!
Your little brother is TOO CUTE!
