View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

Ick. I was folding warm laundry and getting a 'chill' from standing in the cool basement in my sweaty post-run clothes this morning.... When I told Matty that I really wanted was to put these warm jammie pants on and climb right back in bed. I have actually gotten to take a nap after a long run once ever I think. It was affter the Columbus Distance Classic half marathon on last April. I went to see Matty at work and then went home, showered and climbed in bed. Best rest I think I have ever had! Usually I am really wound up after a run unless I am just plain tired to begin with. This morning I just felt tired to begin with.

I had a great run though... I slacked this weekend and had to get up at 3:45 this morning to get my 12 miles in. :$

Speaking of half marathons... I found one here in town in Feb. Perfect timing for St Louis training. :y:
It's called the 'Last Chance for the Boston' half and full and 5K and 10K.... Ha ha. I guess it really is one of the last qualifying courses to qualify for Boston 2007. That's neat.

Wow. This is going to get long... I have a B-Day weekend to report on and a 5K. :)
There were a few times involving food when Matt just looked at me and said, 'Gee, I wonder what your blog will say on Monday...' :drunk:

So... Friday Night:

B-Day present from Matty is NOT a tree stand... (ha ha Nancy Jo... ) He read back in my blog and said 'I can't believe you thought I would buy you something you need for your B-Day.... You need a tree stand, I would just buy that when we saw one you liked.... He cracks me up. =D He commissioned an artist to paint a portrait from the picture of me crossing the finish line at the Flying Pig last May! How cool is that?! I did ask, 'did you ask her to not paint my belly hanging out?' :laugh5:

B-Day dinner... Fish Market at 8:15. I thought it was going to be Matt, Katie and myself. I was a little dissapointed that my brother couldn't make it but I got all dressed up in my heels and velvet dress... (with thigh high stockings for Matty :eyebrows: ) We walk in and there are 10 of my friends!! Including my conniving brother... :teeth3: That crazy Matty! Then with all the holiday parties they couldn't get our table ready till after 9 so they gave us a round of drinks and 4 free appetizer plates when they finally seated us. The best service that I have ever had anywhere. It was fabulous. We had a wonderful time and it was a very late evening...

Saturday...

Matt got up at 3:30 a.m. to go hunting with his Uncle... poor guys, I don't know how he did it. Then I got up at 5:45 to pack a bag to shower at Katie's, stopped for coffee and met Katie at the Reindeer Run 5K... We had fun, and then headed to shower and go to Easton to get some shopping in. I found some great pants at Banana! And a cute skirt and sweater at Macy's... Katie's Mom went shopping with us and she took us to lunch at Brio for my B-Day.
Matty came home from 'the farm' and I got home about the same time at around 6:30. We started to watch the new Pirates of the Carribean but I fell asleep around 9, I think...

Sunday...

I should have run my 12 mile long run but I didn't want to do anything but housework that morning. I am rarely home when I can pitter around in my jammies and do laundry and stuff so I did 4 loads of laundry and cleaned up my 'closet' area. Then we started out for a late breakfast but First Watch had a half hour wait so we decided to head to the mall and get an early lunch. We went to Friday's and I ordered a new sandwich. I ate half of it. It was awful. Not what I expected, I should know just to stick to the ol' standbys. Darn.
Then we did a little shopping, I got the nephews Ohio State shirts and myself a couple of tanks at Banana on clearance. Um, in answer to your question I   Banana Republic.
We headed home to finish up laundry and put the cross stitch piece I did for MIL in the frame I got at Garden Ridge on the way to breakfast... That turned out really nice. I can't wait till she opens it. It still hasn't sunk in that Christmas is a week away. Unbelievable.
We had a potluck at Bowling and Matt has wanted that hash brown casserole dish with the shredded hash browns and sour cream and cheese with the crushed corn flakes on top.... I made that knowing thank goodness that I could get some that night but then it would be gone. :y: It turned out OK. When I took it out of the oven the MIL said... 'it looks like you figured that out'... Oh, Lord, sometimes she kills me... :frog:
Bowling was OK. We tied the first game, won the second and then the third game one of the other team's members just killed us. We lost the third game by 100 pins! As of last night we were 2nd in the league. But that's mainly because we have some higher handicaps... ('we' as in myself :$ )
I trie dto get right to sleep last night and I think for the most part I did... It never feels like 6 hours when you wake up. :@

Fast forward to today.... Up early to get 12 miles in. Um, it's Ohio and it's 55 degrees out today. I'm not complaining but just a little spooked.... Looks like I'll be running in shorts all week... =D

We were going to ride out just east of town about 40 minutes to a big outdoorsman store call Buckeye Outdoors with Uncle M. tonight but they may close early on Mondays... That's OK with me. As much as I love that place I have a Bible Study to prepare for and I still feel like going to find my jammie pants... :laugh5:

I'm off ! Love to all and special kisses to C-!!! Thank you all SO much for your B-Day greetings!!

1024.5 miles run in 2006!

Useless facts about me....

- I have a ridiculous affinity for peanut butter which is why I never purchase it anymore...

- I have always driven a 'stick' shift car...

- I truly did not go out on a date until I was almost 20...

- Subsequently, first kiss at 20...

- I had my first full time job from age 16 and stayed there till I was 26. You want to talk to some people who know EVERYTHING about my 'growing up years'... :devious:

- I have zero tolerance for people who panic. It's actually bizzare because I am a very, very patient person. I am also very calm which might be why panicking bugs me so much. I have been known to walk away from someone who is frantic because my strongest instinct is to smack them.

- I never stretch enough after exercising :$

- I love people who talk more than me because I love to listen to them... not that I can't keep up with the best of them :talking:

I think you officially earned the right to put on just-out-of-the-dryer clothes and snuggle in bed. 3:45 on a Monday morning. THAT is dedication. this weather, though. PA is NEVER like this in December. I'm always psyched to get down to Florida for Christmas week, but who needs it this year?!

Okay... you can just ask for the tree stand now since Matt basically said he would just buy it... Woo Hoo!! But WOW, what a birthday gift; a portrait of you crossing the finish line. That was so thoughtful of Matt. (Good job, Matt!!) What an awesome weekend you had!! Hard to believe you didn't see right through your brother :o!! Whoa... that is a tough call... Bible Study or a Sporting Goods Store??? Hmm?? Have a great day!!

Oh my gosh, you are a wonder woman. 12 miles on a MONDAY morning. Crazy. It sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. The same thing happened to us at Mitchell's Fish Market for G's b-day party last year. They couldn't seat us for over and hour and then gave us all kinds of appetizers for free, I love that place!!!!

Matt's present sounds awesome. Where is that HM, I want to do it with you!!!
