Wow. Holiday slump. Haven't been watching the food as carefully as I should and I have had alcohol 5 out of the last 6 days... (so unlike me, really!

) I slept through running today... I do this once in awhile which I know full well would be fine if I was at goal weight.
But it's painfully apparent that I am not.
Last night over 2 Bud Lights at dinner Matty was trying to find out if he was supposed to start helping me get back on track with a loving nudge or if he was safer keeping his mouth shut. Poor guy. Heck, I don't know! I don't even know what to tell myself when I get in a slump like this....

I know that I will shake it off in a week but the fact of the matter is that I feel like an absolute failure because I dissapoint the people around me who I am always striving to be healthier around. Yes, it is
that week... The one before the big dissapointment every 28-30 days...
LOL...

I am completely ridiculous! Please don't feel bad for me today, any of you!

I don't need sympathy, I need a kick in the pants!
Ok, rant over.... moving on!
Bible Study was actually cancelled because one of the gals was sick and I was trying to get out of it so I could shop with Matty.... We knew that leaving it scheduled for this week was going to be touch and go....
Matty and I had a great time! I went to exchange the new watch I got last weekend on my B-Day shopping spree

The second hand kept stopping and I was only going to exchange it for a new, identical piece. Of course I went to a different Macy's location and saw an awesome, coppery piece that I

!! Naturally, it was $20.00 more than my exchange but I went for it and I am glad. It is super cool! I have always been a 2 watch gal... 1 for running/ knocking around and 1 for work/dressy. ( I was trying to replace the work/dressy one that I lost after 7 yrs.

) Well, this one doesn't really fall into either catagory. It's more dressy casual but not dressy enough to wear with too much other jewelry. That's a shame. I may have to get another dressy watch for the cousin's wedding in January.
Matty found some super hot Polo jeans at a great price and a couple great sweaters! He is so damn good looking
Matt got a really nice cable knit sweater and 2 pairs of earrings for Aunt T. I searched for a certainn sweatshirt that the MIL has requested.... must stop at another Macy's tonight. The MIL is quite the dresser...

Any of you familiar with the 'Alfred Dunner' line of clothing? That should bring a smile to your face.
We grabbed dinner and I made a decent choice with the potstickers but the beer didn't help. For me it's more of it's effect on my attitude, not so much the calories. Once I feel all warm and comfy I just want to eat more comfort food. I rarely eat Matt's fries. I usually fork mine onto his plate. Last night I was eating off his plate.
Talked to my brother in Cincy last night a long time... Friday afternoon is still on at their place and he sounds good... Can't wait to see the nephews!
Oh well.... just a melancholy morning

A litte bit of holiday comfort, mixed with PMS, mixed with too much coffee so far....
Better get to it.... Already got a scathing email from the boss this morning. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
Love and hugs to all!

It has taken me 90 minutes to get this posted!
About me:
- I'm a sappy geek sometimes and when I drink I love everyone!!

- I love a good, sad movie once in awhile....
- I love my knee high black boots... they are my favorite piece of wardrobe, next to my new watch

- I can't believe it's 5 days till Christmas!
After reviewing... OK.... A little overboard on the smiley's today? Silly me....

What a cute couple!
 --this is the same daughter who talked me into a pink suede/fur coat. Yes. She made me try it on, and a woman passing by said, "yes, buy it."
I have some knee high black boots I got for Christmas last year from my daughter.

In the general media - slumps are called "the hoiday season." you will get back on track and just try to watch and maintan over the next week or two. Tis the season for sociableness and society.

Hang in there, you deserve a break!! By the way, you said you were coming to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach in January for the wedding... there is a really neat Outlet if Foley which is only 10-15 minutes from where you will be. They have a Fossil Store Outlet and many, many others. Here is the website: http://www.tangeroutlet.com/

I don't think you DO need a kick in the pants. You just need to remember that this is a hard couple of weeks. If we can all make it through New Year's without GAINING, we will have lost (in a sense) (maybe in my twisted logic sense) (now I sound like David Brent from the British "The Office" ) - my point is ... well, don't beat yourself up about yesterday. You're a better person today because of it.
