Good morning all my little cyber friends. It's funny, whenever I get great news or something fun comes along or I am sad the first person I want to talk to is Matty. Then the next place I want to go is here. Our lives change and our time gets shorter or longer in the day but as long as I can hear from each of you and be able to reach out to you all once in awhile I am reassured that there really are some great people out there, raising up some wondeful families and being a great significance to society. What a great bunch of people.

I am having a good morning. My tummy seems to be deflated from all it's puffiness. I have discovered that hot tea is a great morning calmer and a bowl of cold cereal helps the rolling tummy a bit. I absolutely hate this concept of having to have something in my tummy to keep it settled but I am trying to figure out better ways of accomplishing this without constantly eating. Sipping hot tea seems to be a good one and chicken boullion is another. It's a discovery in progress. Hopefully by the time I get it figured out I won't be sick anymore. My Momma was sick all 9 mo. with me. Lord have mercy.

I think I feel extra good today because I went to bed at 8pm last night and got up at 6 this morning. Ahhhh... :y: I felt good getting up but I will be ready to nap again by 11am. LOL.... :yawn2:
Then MIL was telling me about church last night and how they were sharing about love in their life and she shared that I was a love in her life and that I was bringing her a grandchild this year. She really is a wonderful MIL... I am so glad that she is happy about this addition soon to be underfoot. How blessed are we that she wants to sit for us at least 3 days a week? Not to have to get a baby out of bed in the morning and drag them anywhere will be an incredible relief.

In all this reflection this morning I am brought to happy tears (oh yes, I'm pregnant... :) ) thinking about how blessed I am and how at one point in my life I never would have dreamed that this was possible. I have a wonderful husband who is loving and understanding and patient beyond belief. We have a warm, cozy home and are able to share it with Matty's mother. I have a great relationship with my parents and love them despite their wackiness... =D
I have 6 brothers whom I am very close with. I have a job that pays my bills. I have been blessed with a soon to be new baby...

I hope that I can keep this calm tummy and feeling pretty good last through my Dr appt tomorrow. I haven't been on a scale in awhile and I know I will nearly pass out when I do get on one but there's not much I can do about that now.

We are getting some soft snow fall this mornng.. It is very pretty since the few inches from last weekend haven't melted. Almost like a fuzzy blanket on top of everything...

Goals for today are to drink ALL my water and to try to not snack as much! There has got to be a better way to keep my tummy settled than by filling it up all the time. :@

Matty will be home later tonight from Cincy. Maybe we can sneak in a movie tonight!

I am walking at the mall with Emily today at lunch. That will be a nice diversion from snacking. :P

Weird Facts:
*I am a chronic 'nail biter' sometimes I will let them go for a long time and then I chew them all off in one sitting. I love having acrylic on but I don't have the discipline to keep up with them...
*I love watching birds feed... this weekend while watching the boys at my parents I watched my Dad's feeder and they come right up to the sliding glass door and sit. It's so cute because they are all puffed up in the cold like soft, fluffy, feather balls. I love the female cardinals, even though they are brown and not red like their male counterparts... the bright orange beak against the soft brown feathers is so pretty!

PS I am logging today!! and I am going to keep that up! It helps me SO much to be better.

Someone just sent this to me and it fit great with my 'blournal' ( :hi: Tammy! )...

Beautifully stated

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to
ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably
more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best
friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry
because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you
love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've
never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute
of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin.

Isn't your dr. appointment tomorrow? I'll be thinking of you. I have a great MIL too. We are so lucky! We have bird feeders in the back yard and the squirrels are constantly eating all the sunflower seeds and knocking the feeders down. So, we just watch the squirrels too and put in more sunflower seeds! :)

Bekah - it's only been a few days since you popped into my blog to say hello. Since then you have announced Eggbert (or berta) and have really shared a lot of yourself. We all love every bit of it! I don't have those fancy kissy things - but hugs to you.:)

 You are so amazing. Your journal made all teary. *sniff* As for the sickness: saltines. Only 60 calories for 5 of them, and you're supposed to be eating more now anyway (not way more, but at least at maintenance right now. After the first trimester is when you really need to start concentrating on eating maintenance + 300 cals). As for logging, I did it all through my pregnancy with Trevor. As long as you can be more forgiving of yourself, it's a great tool to keep things in line. And pickles aren't just an old wives tale........ It's actually recommended to give a colicky baby dill pickle juice, because the salt and whatever else in it can calm an upset tummy. So if you like them, try eating them when you feel sick. Have a wonderful day!

You know what's even better than the Boca sausages? Gardenburger sausages. And they have fewer calories (50 rather than 60 - no big deal). But they are IMPOSSIBLE to find. Oh, and I really like Trader Joe's, too. My hubby prefers Morningstar, but I hate those.
