Friday, Jan 26 2007 - Not too exciting....

View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

Not too exciting this morning... But then again, I knew it wouldn't be. I got to the Dr office and the Nurse Practitioner made me pee, weighed me then sent me to the lab where they stabbed me and took 3 fat vials of blood, and sent me merrily on my way.....
Of course all this all took an hour and a half. Which is absolutely fine. I can just tell that I should try to schedule the first appt. of the morning whenever possible there because it was 8 am and the office was swamped!
I was SO tempted to sneak home and take an hour nap before going onto work but it was getting late so I scooted on in. :yawn2:

I am feeling pretty crappy today but it's prolly just because it's Friday and my body is ready for the weekend. A weekend full of naps that is! :laugh5: Geez-O-Pete I'm tired.

When I weighed in at the Dr office I was pretty dissapointed. But she was very positive about it and very reassuring. She said that if I normally weigh nekkid and before I eat or drink anything I could deduct 5 or 6 pounds. Which is helpful but still scary. I am more concerned at this point about health/weight issues like gestational diabetes and such, but she told me that I had no reason to worry about that at my weight and just be as conscious as I can, but as comfortable as I can.

So all in all it was a good visit and I am so looking forward to Matty and I going in for the ultrasound Feb 2nd!

God bless someone in the office. They brought in a box of de-caf green tea bags! And hot tea seems to be a major help with the rolling tummy right now! :thumbu2:

Maybe I can talk my love  into taking a brisk walk or two this weekend up to the coffee shop. It's going to be in the teens and with the wind chill, feel like single digits. Brrr. But a 20 min walk one way wouldn't be bad.

I am stocked up on movie rentals too so we won't run out of entertainment Sat and Sun. :)

I wish the weekends were longer. :(

While we were walking yesterday Emily and I stopped in a maternity shop. OMG, the stuff is so darn cute!! I'm kind of glad that it will be warm enough when I get big to wear the lighter, fluffier things. I imagine I won't have too much of a belly until May and then I can wear cute t-shirts and shorts on weekends and cute tops and skirts to work. Thank God there is an outlet mall about 45 min south of us. I couldn't imagine paying full price for that stuff. Holy cow, it was expensive. Like 'Banana Republic - regular price' expensive... I mean really... unless it's something you HAVE to have for an occasion who pays regular prices at BR? Ok, I guess someone can. God bless 'em.

Wow, I'm pukey today. blech. :P Of course everytime I feel really bad I look at the clock and realize that I haven't eaten another quarter of my PB&J in two and a half hours. Go figure.

Well.... I better do something around here today... :bigeyes3:

Useless fact:
*I am normally freezing all the time and since the moment I got preggo I have felt about 15 to 20 degrees warmer at all times. I'm kinda liking that change,,, oh, and the boobs :blush4: Um, wow. :eyebrows:
Too bad they aren't here to stay, huh Matty?? :laugh5:

My daughter is the same way about being hot - even while she's been nursing, too. She still has the air conditioner in the window in her office, I think. Have a restful weekend! :)

I LOVED doctor visits when I was pregnant. The movie rentals sound like fun. I have a lot recorded on our TiVo for the weekend and our sons just left, so now it is me, my husband, and the cats. The big question is, "When will our sons come back?" It could be any moment or hours. Enjoy your time alone with Matty before the baby arrives! Having our sons around is great, though. I know that when they move out in a few years, I will really miss them. :heart1:

I told you how, on the morning of my school weigh-in (where I'm in a challenge) I managed to put on 7 pounds with clothes and food, right? It's very easy to do. I've been making steady weight loss progress in this challenge by varying my outfits! Hahahaha. In real life (nekkid) I'm up 2 pounds, but for the challenge I'm down 5! :)

Ho Beckah! - Actually they might be there to stay - I was a measly 38 B before pregnancy and went to a 38F (Yowza...could barely stand up in the morning.) When it all settled out - I am definitely a solid D - even after losing almost 70 pounds. But - its not all fun and games - when the girls get that big they kind of take on a life of their own!

Stop worrying about gestational diabetes. Millions of women heavier than (including me!) give birth ot perfectly healthy babies. Eat well, exercise as you can (depending on how you feel and what you're capable of) and let it come as it will.
