BECKAMARIE's CalorieKing blog

Tuesday, Jan 30 2007 - Pretty Tuesday....

View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

It's very pretty out... (at least if you are at your desk looking out the window, and not actually outside.) There are driving snow flurries that may stack up to an inch or so by the end of the day but for now they at least brighten up the Ohio winter greys... :P

I did so much better with food yesterday! I had a Smart Ones mac & cheese with a can of tuna tossed in at lunch.. (one of my fave mix-ups, even better with a handful of frozen peas... Heck, I lived off that in college!) Then MIL made potatos and salmon for dinner. I didn't have anything 'sweet' yesterday and my tummy seemed better!

Today has already started out rough for some reason?? I give up on predicting it. :cross2: I have been trying to nibble a few crackers when I first get up but man, I've never been a 'cracker' eater and I think they suck for taste factor. :P Maybe only 5 more weeks of sickness!

I'm at work wishing that I was home snuggling with Matty.... I hope he doesn't have to work outside today. It's pretty certain that someone will have to load up at least one truck of plant material to go out today... :(

One of the gals at work offered to bring in maternity clothes! God bless her. She is alot shorter than I am but she might have some tops to share. She is a cute dresser. ;)

Matty and I stayed up watching a movie called 'Crash' till 11:00 last night. It was a pretty good movie by the end. Then we stayed up a later :eyebrows: and man, did that alarm go off too early. Matt was hilarious last night in his sleep. Lately he has started to migrate over to my side and actually roll on top of me, half smashing me. He is like a rock and ridiculously difficult to move and sleeps like a bear in hibernation... So I have been sleeping like a trapped prisoner :laugh5: Silly boy. I s'pose he is just super tired from working so much and then coming home and workin' some more!

MIL put some pinto beans and a ham bone (in the freezer from Matt's last baked ham he made) in the crock pot last night and I made cornbread so we could all pack beans and cornbread for lunch today. MMmmmm.

I'd better get to something productive around here. you all... B
Happy Birthday Uncle Merel!!

I  sparkly snow
I  hot tea & honey
I  fresh air
I  a soft scarf
I  fresh paint
I  baby lotion :y:

I vote for ginger cookies...maybe those biscoff cookies would help. They are lipsmackin good too! SW used to give them on flights...but now you can find them at the grocery store or even Walgreens. :tongue10:

My doc recommended ginger for an upset belly. Gingerale, gingersnaps, gingerbread... 12 weeks was the magic number for me. I, of course, gained gained gained and gained. No worries though! Enjoy your pregnancy and don't deny cravings. i craved cereals (like the ones with little cookies in them and like, cinnamon swirls). I craved FAT! chips and salty things like that. (Can you see why I gained gained gained?) BUT! If I had to do it all over again (and, indeed, I may!) I wouldn't change a thing. EXCEPT I would definitely lose the anxiety about gaining weight that I had.

I don't like the snow!!!!!!!!! I wanna be able to run in shorts again. Wahhhhhh! (okay, I'm a complainer today ... but I have to take kids to an academic competition on Friday, and if it snows it'll be chaos. CHAOS I TELL YA! ) :laugh5: but that's neither here nor there ... have you experimented with different KINDS of crackers? maybe some ginger snaps (oh, those are cookies) would work - ginger is supposed to help ...

Ooooh - you're gonna have to put up barriers at night when you get a little farther along. Make sure they're movable though - so you can install after the <:eyebrows:> and before the sleeping! If the crackers aren't gettin' it for you - try rice cakes . We are definitely going to need new pix of you in maternity clothes! Have an absolutely wonderful day - get over the pukies and enjoy the flurries! <>

Hey, I never knew cracker eating was an art! ( :hi: Tammy!) I may have mentioned this already, but I had horrid morning sickness with Jacob. With Trevor it lasted only the normal 3 months, but I think it's because I used those "Sea-Band" bracelets. You can find them in the motion sickness area of the drug store. They use pressure points to prevent nausea. They aren't very attractive, but the worked pretty well for me.

Lunch sounds delicious!! Sorry it's been a rough morning for you already. Man I don't know what I'd do....I think I'd be a horrible pregnant person, I can't stand being nauseaous. Hope you feel better.

How do you not like crackers??? I LOVE crackers.... Maybe you aren't eating them right.... You scrape the edges with your teeth first to get the little bits where they broke apart at the factory... Then you scrape (again with your teeth) the dark humps from the unsalty side. Then the dark humps from the salty side... The take a bite and suck on it until it dissolves..... And the bottom of the cracker stack.... YUM my daughter and I fight over it..... If you want flavor, you could always add a little mustard to the cracker.... YUMMY!!!! Feel better tummy!!!
