Till our first ultrasound! 
Last night Matty worked on the upstairs again... I was feeling domestic so I made pork chops and mashed potatoes and gravy. They were OK. The potatoes were good. The gravy wasn't so good. I can make great homemade gravy the old fashioned, fat laden way, but when I try to 'skinny' it up it doesn't work out so good.
Of course Matty didn't say a word about it. 
I slept from 9pm to 6am and I'm still a little sleepy this morning. Bummer. I did find my 'sea bands' that I bought the other day and promptly misplaced. They are pressure point bracelets used for motion sickness and supposedly help with pregnancy ills. Here's hopin'!
It seems that their placement on your wrist is pretty strategical but hopefully I have them in the correct place.
OK. So I, yes I, who rarely panics about anything or gets irrational completely 'jumped the gun' per say on the new job.
They called this morning with an offer! I have to get the paperwork filled and the standard drug test run but it should be good to go. It's not a large increase in pay or anything but the opportunities are much better and the hours are actually better than I have now. They were very positive about the pregnancy and made sure that all my insurance requirements would be OK and short term disability (maternity leave) would not be a problem. Whew. I am so nervous about new jobs! This is a very good thing, it's just hard to grasp all the changes coming up... So many things to be excited about!! 
My aunt called my Mom yesterday to tell her that my Uncle was given 3 months to live this time. He actually broke into tears in the Dr office which is why she was even more concerned about him. He had Hodgkins disease when I was less than 2 years old and apparently the chemo levels they used in the early 70's were a lot less 'fine tuned' than they are now (not that it makes it any easier now) His heart and lungs have been unable to keep clear of fluids for a couple of years now and he has been in and out of the hospital for very long stays this entire time. The aftermath from his cancer way back then is killing him. He is 61 years old.
I am so happy that Matt & I got to spend a little extra time with him at my cousins wedding earlier this month. This is one of the reasons I hate getting older. Your mentors get even older. 
My little brother called me last night about them having a 'Harry Potter' marathon this weekend at the house. I always feel so bad when I can't just go hang out with them. It is very sweet that he calls me and asks if we can come over and then most of the time I blow them off. But we have to get some work done upstairs and I have not been much help at all this week! Between sleeping and um, sleeping.

:). And sorry to hear about your uncle ...... my prayers are with him and your family. *About the gravy ... I still haven't figured out how to make a good lowfat gravy. My mom is from the south so she taught me how to make it with lots of grease or butter ..... yummy but no good for you. So if I find one I will let you know ... and if you find one .... please let me know

:( My mom had breast cancer 2 years ago and later that year we found out that my dad had colon cancer. They were really sick. They are doing ok now. But I totally understand about not wanting to get older. Hang in there. I'll be praying for your family.

Ohhhh - so excited about the "baby" pic tomorrow. Are you going to find out the sex if it can be seen - or no? Back in the day - we didn't even have ultrasound pics at all - so there were just lots of "old wives" tales. I, however, knew that it was a girl as I frequently told my husband. He wanted a boy (naturally) and kept saying I should make that happen. I tried to remind him that his little guys determined the sex - depending on whether it was an X or a Y that hooked. Up. That must have been too scientific cuz all he would say was:":Yeah, but you had it last.."

How exciting about your ultra sound! I saw some of our expecting teacher's ultra sounds and they are so clear and distinguishable! In the old days you would be lucky to see any part of the baby. Have fun!
