So, tonight is the Blue October concert. I have mixed feelings... First of all, it wasn't planned well. The original planner, a guy who works in our office... suggested that he and Matt and I go. Great idea. This is where my mind must have shut down. How could I go to a Blue October concert without my 16 yr old brother who

the band. So, dilemma #1... Should I offer for Matt and Brent and my brother to go? I didn't think Matt would want to deal with hauling them around and all, so I asked Matt if he would give up his ticket to my brother. So now it is me, Brent and my brother going. I know it will be fun in some way but I have almost been dreading it the moment I said yes and now I am dreading it even more... I have never been a concert person. I love music in the comfort of my own home or car and when I can control the volume and the temperature and the crowd level at all times... I'm telling you all right here and now that I am generally not a finicky person but if I am overheated and uncomfortable tonight, this 'pregnancy turned me psycho' girl is taking everyone home early.
So, we got between 2 and 4 inches of snow last night that started to fall about 3pm and continued through the evening. I don't have to tell anyone in the midwest that even though we have the proper equipment and staff for snow removal when it is smack dab in the middle of rush hour there is nothing you can do about it. It took me two and a half hours to go 12 miles last night going home from work. I know for you east and west coasters that is just a typical bad day on the interstate but we don't have that kind of traffic here in 'cow town'. Matty shoveled our and the neighbors' driveway last night and again this morning.

I, on the other hand stayed in bed till 6 and then lumbered onto a shower and the rest of my day... What happened to his co-shoveling wife?? Poor guy.
We worked a little more on the room last night... patching nail holes and smoothing older walls wih plaster... I always get clean-up duty

I can't wait for it to be done. It's going to be so awesome! All light green and white with lots of shelves and built in drawers....
I started scoping out cribs on-line yesterday. Hmmmm??
It's a little warmer today... it might reach 19 degrees without the windchill. The sun is out but I thought the forecast was for cloudy??? I don't care, I'm taking it! Bring on the vitamin D!!
It's going to be a much later night than I care for and I'm already feeling it.
My tummy is a little 'off' this morning but not half as bad as it was the last few weeks.

I am trying to get all my water down as soon as possible so I don't fall short later in a hot, stuffy concert hall. Man, I need to stop whining about that!
I have quite a few teacher friends who haven't had to work at all this week... If I ever go back to school, it will be in Elementary Ed.
Everyone have a great day!!

Guess there are lots of us who don't like concerts cuz you can count me in. It's okay if its like small (200 - 300) and the venue is open with either high ceilings or lots of moving air - otherwise LOML and I are both claustrophobic freaks!
;) I once waited 30 minutes for a sheep herd to pass in June Lake on the loop.
Re the 2 1/2 commute (yup, that used to be my normal commute home from the mid-Wilshire district unless it rained) you never, ever get used to it and pray god, you'll never have to. On the other hand - do the cows hold up traffic much?

Hey my cow town girl! I agree send Matty... A concert is no place for a pregers..
:P Cribs yeah! You know I looked forever for the right one.. and you know if I would have known now what I didn't know then... I got this pretty little oak thing ( parents paid) with little round spindle rails... I would trade it now for one with flat rails. I found Wyn always bumped her head and everything else, on those round ones even with the bumper.. Hope your evening works out regardless of what you do..

LOL at cowtown. That's actually what they call Sacramento and (if you ever watch King's b-ball) we use cowbells during the playoffs.

Bekah ... if you are dreading the concert (I hear you, I'm not really a concert person -- I get bored at them
:$ but James loves them), give your ticket to Matt and have him take your brother and your brother's friend ... while you rest at home and have time time with a good book or the tv
:) Ouuuhhh crib shopping, fun!
