OK.... I made it to the show just fine. The doors opened at 7:00 and the show started at 8:00. The opening band was ...something.. 'Damns' I think

They were OK. Blue October was great! They put on an incredible live show and their lead singer/guitar is just amazing. The have a lot of strings in their music so watching the string guy pick up an electric violin or mandolin was great. They are truly one of my all time favorite bands. So emotional...
My friend who went with... Brent, has spina bifida. So he was in his chair and there were no other wheelchairs at the show so we got the entire 'special needs' box to oursleves. That made the show a whole different experience. The staff to stage entrance was just beside us so there was plenty of fresh, cool air coming through... the volume really wasn't bad at all and there is no smoking in Ohio now so overall, I was very fortunate to enjoy the show in a very comfortable manner. We were sitting directly to stage right and had a great view...
We had made a pre-show deal that we would prolly stay half the show and then maybe grab some dinner but it was so great that we all decided to stay to the end. They played all my favorites... 18th Floor Balcony... Calling You, Hate Me... Good stuff! So, I'm glad I went and I was equally happy to fall into bed around 12:30 and snuggle up to my warm and toasty hubby
I got some totally bummer news yesterday... my brother who just got a new job found out that it fell through 2 days into the job... It's a long story but there is no way he can afford to be unemployed and he quit a 13 yr. job to go into something new so he is devastated and very scared... I am just sick about it and I wish I could help him more... I am hoping that he can at least break his lease with his apt. and move back in with Mom and Dad at least until he gets another job rolling... I just think that would be the only way to head off anything worse on his money situation at the very least... He's such a good guy and a hard worker and this seemed like his one big break. I can't even imagine how he must feel right now...

(By the way, if you actually really try to keep track of which brother I am referring to at any given time, this is the 28 yr old, 3rd born child... single guy...

)
Bible Study has been moved to tonight after all the interruptions from snow and all... MIL had her car repaired today so I may have to take her home and then drive back out here to Polaris but it won't kill me...
I am getting so excited about working downtown!! I can't wait till the weather is nicer and I can get some good walks in during lunch... I think I will really like it. One week and one day to go.
Have a little heady achey today but maybe more water will help... I feel and look like a balloon already. I'm going to be really sick of being fat by September. Hopefully that will give me the motivation to 'git er done!'
I'm off to another day.. Tootles!!

10:00 --- Mmmmm... I pretty much went to no caffiene cold turkey except maybe a latte on the weekends... so I have decided that is one of the sources of these dang headaches... Short story long... I got a cup of hazelnut coffee out of the vending machine at work and I swear it tastes like liquid manna. Bring on the caffiene baby!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the show. I'm sorry about your brother's job.
:( Those September babies are wonderful! My September baby will be 21 this year and I am really happy with how he turned out. It is so great to see your kids as adults and really like them as equals.

Glad you enjoyed the show!
:) My daughter left a great job of about the same amount of years as your brother for another job this past year and then they told her they couldn't use her after a couple of months. She was devastated....but she found an even BETTER job. She never even had time to collect any unemployment. I hope the same happens for your brother.
 Hope you have a great day!

A little caffeine isn't bad for the baby, so enjoy a coffee here and there. No need to have a headache. ... Sorry about the bro's job.

OH B! I am sorry to hear about bro's job and yes I was totally wondering which one. I do believe that all things happen for a reason and things will work out. Door closed, window will be opened kind of thing. Sending prayers up for him. Glad you enjoyed the concert.
 Have a great Thursday babe!

Glad you had fun at the show. So sorry to hear about your brother. Depending on how he quit his last job, he might be able to go back. I know here you can come back within 30 days (if they want you) and still get your old pay. He should at least look into it.

:heart1: --- very cool that Ohio has the no smoking ban in effect
:y: -- I hope Maryland will follow suit (it's in effect in certain counties, but not - yet! - in Baltimore City). Sorry to hear about your brother
