View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

I'm sorry I misssed you all on Friday... It was just a really busy day and I was sooooo tired that I didn't even feel that I had the energy to create anything to say... When I am too tired to say anything then you know I am tired! :yawn2:

I am trying to wrap up a lot of things at work so there won't be any loose ends when I go on Friday... My last day here!! Then I am so hoping that my energy is back just in time for the new job... :y:

The weekend was busy but uneventful... My brother has several promising job leads to follow up on this week, so he is in good spirits. Matt got so much done on the baby room that we hope to be ready to paint next weekend! I did several loads of laundry ( my regular weekend chores ) and cooked a turkey breast on Sunday.... My friend Emily came over on Sunday to visit and see the progress on the baby room. It was so nice to see her and visit for a couple hours.

I took Matty to the airport to fly out to annual manager meetings this morning. He had to be at the airport by 4 am. I drove back home and crawled right back into bed for an hour before getting up for work. That was the deepest sleep I have had in a long time. I soooo didn't want to get up and go to work... But duty calls.

I am going to feel very spoiled these next couple nights going straight home from work, putting on warm, comfy clothes and crawling into bed... ah, the life of a still childless woman. Won't last for long. ;)

Sat. night I babysat for a friend who has a 5 yr old, 4 yr old and 9 mo. old. The children are adorable. But right now the 9 mo old is having major anxiety issues about being away from Mommy & Daddy so she was pretty upset the entire time they were at dinner... She did fall asleep on me and slept about 2 hours after I had put the other 2 to bed so it was pure heaven laying on the couch resting with a warm, cuddly baby passed out on your chest. When her parents got home and she woke up she saw them and you would have thought she had won the lottery. It was hilarious, the little stinker. She was SO happy to see them that she was clapping and squealing with joy. =D It was funny...

Your Baby from Parenting.com
This week, your baby measures about 1½ inches from top to bottom -- about as big as a cocktail shrimp, and similar in shape. Tooth buds are forming, bones are growing, and hair is starting to sprout. Her eyelids are fused shut and will remain closed until Week 27, but she can now hear you since the inner workings of the ear are complete. Neurons appear at one end of the spinal cord, and the basic divisions of the brain are present. She can also bend her arms at the elbows and has distinct fingers. Genitals continue to form, but your doctor would not be able to determine the sex yet, even by sonogram.

My Mom is really concerned about my nephews getting proper care, if any. I think she is going to try and go pick them up today and keep them awhile... It is really bad in their home right now but I just don't have a very good feeling about this... :(

Better get back to task... Hugs to all  B-

Yes, enjoy that deep sleep while you can because it will be , oh, years before you can do that again. =D Just kidding, the children have to sleep sometime and that's when you will too. :heart1:

Forget Shakespeare - you should put Mozart on your ipod and hold the headphones to your belly so Eggy can hear. Mozart makes shrimpy fetuses into smart (musically and mathematically) babies!! (I think it's Mozart ... yeah! Mozart! )

Yeah, James and I have given each other duplicate cards before ... but if you keep an eye out you'll find some new ones. I think my favorite one is this one ... there are two squirrels on the front, and some sappy writing about how someone saw the squirrels and thought "wow, those squirrels are in love" and the on the inside it says: "silly me, with squirrels it's only about the sex" (with us it's about the love AND the sex). =D

I think having a 2" baby to carry around in your pocket would be a lot of fun. =D Glad to hear about your brother and the progress on the baby's room :heart1:
