View BECKAMARIE's food & exercise for this day

Good Monday Morning!! I know, Mondays are not supposed to be good but I had a fun-filled weekend and the Buckeye’s won and it’s going to be 80 degrees today!!! :rock1:

My shoe strap broke on the way up the driveway walking into the party on Friday night. :laugh5: Thus, for the entire evening I was known as the ‘barefoot and pregnant’ gal. Lordie. I’m pretty sure my hubby started that.

Saturday we got a beautiful hand painted giraffe figure for the baby’s room at the silent auction at the banquet. It is perfect! I don’t want a ‘theme’ in there, but I do want to fill it with fun, bright things that represent a lot of different parts of our lives together. Matt’s aunt Emilie and Uncle Gary gave us a great little set of illustrated books on basic sign language for toddlers. A friend of mine taught her daughter to sign before she could actually speak. It was so neat that she could communicate clearly without frustration. Well, without total frustration. :)

One more piece of trim and some sanding and then we can clean and dust and a final coat of paint! Then we can move onto our room. We are hoping that it will go faster since we kind of know what we are doing now. All the trim cuts and the flooring should be easier to do the second time around.

I have started drinking that new Gatorade A.M. product on my way to work. It seems to really help me feel better in the mornings since I haven’t been drinking my morning cup of coffee. It has B vitamins in it and is supposed to be more formulated to re-hydrate and refuel you from the night’s sleep. Anyways, I’m thinking it’s a worthwhile coffee replacement.

The Doctor visit on Friday went well. She said my weight was just fine and that I looked great. We listened to the heart-beat and my first thought was that I wish Matty was there. :( His job is so busy that we had agreed to only have him go to ultrasounds but I still miss him so much when things like the heart beat come along and he isn’t there to share it with.

The next ultrasound is April 27th!! I will be 22 weeks so it shouldn’t be too difficult to see if we are having a girl or boy unless they are really turned away. I am so excited!! That will be a great day!!

I better get to it. Hugs to all. Becka

Who knew you could teach your baby to sign? And of course angel girls (:hi: Tori) first sign was "thank you". I can't wait to hear if it's a boy or girl!

I totally loved the ultrasounds. It's amazing to get to hear and see the baby. I have all the pics from the ultrasounds for each of my children. Enjoy your day. The weather sounds great there. We are still in the high 50's.

  Oh, the sweet music of your baby's heartbeat. That is such a wonderful and special sound! Be careful with the sign language..not that it isn't a good thing. A friend of mine and his wife taught their baby and he ended up needing speech therapy b/c all he wanted to do was sign. I think it is an AWESOME thing to teach them to sign but just an FYI for you and Matty. Egg will be so well rounded! ;) Have a great Monday!

The sign books will be a great read. I uses the few signs included in On Becoming Babywise. Her first word was "thank you" in sign. Looks kinda like blowing a kiss. Have a great day!
