Holy crap, its 9:00 a.m. and I have just thought about getting to my blog

I really dislike Mondays. It just seems like as soon as I walk in I am bombarded. Which also reminds me that I havent sent in my weekly report yet. Darnit.
I had a really nice weekend though.

Saturday Matty had to work in the morning so I went to my Moms and visited with my Dad and a few brothers and then took my Mom to a friends baby shower. The baby shower was deliriously fun. All that baby stuff everywhere. I was on overload. They got a lot of lovely things and as usual the little one will have no shortage of cute outfits her first 3 months of existence and then maybe a few more pieces up to 6 or 7 months and then nothing in her closet.

Wait, that sounds like most of us girls! But really, everyone wants to buy the tiny stuff and we forget to buy larger sizes
There was the assortment of some of my personal favorites, home crafted afghans and flannel throw blankets.
The gals who threw the shower did a wonderful job and obviously put a lot of time and thought into it. It was a great time all around.
Then Matty called and said that our friends Katie and Michelle wanted to go to dinner. Michelle is moving to New York I think this week to be with her fiancé. They are getting married in early October. Her bachelorette party is the weekend before my due date. That should be a hoot.
We had dinner and as usual ran into someone who we knew from bowling casually. Then really started chatting and discovered that they used to know Matts father well and were in Matts home when he was 3 or 4 years old. Small world and an of course an even later night
Sunday I got up late
ahhh, bliss
Matty made breakfast and I watered the flowers. Then we hung out and did some household chores. Sorted mail, ironed, Matt made a late lunch of pork roast and veggies, and green beans and red potatoes. I made a big batch of pasta salad
Mmmm, lunch today
Then Matty golfed and I hung out with the MIL and watched a little TV. A nice slow, but nonetheless productive day.
That was the weekend. I didnt eat much yesterday and it has hit me already. Pretty darn hungry this morning. Went to the snack machine and the only that was definitely not a candy bar were Pop Tarts. Bad idea. I always forget just how not worth it I feel that Pop Tarts are. That was a waste of calories
Blech.
Carry on oh beautiful friends!!
Love, Rebekah & Baby Matthew

Ugh = what did Little Matty have to say about being bombarded with gooey fat and carb grams? LOL - that's the wonderful thing about our bodies - we can eat pop tarts and turn it into good nutricious stuff for our womb tenants! Have a super day, Becka
