Dear Blog, no, that sounds silly. But Ive been wanting to name my blog, so I have a way to address it
How about, Dear You.
Okay
Dear You,
I missed you last week. We had a corporate wide fundraising project for the central Ohio Operation Feed Drive and I worked some long days of fund raising and rarely even sat at my desk, let alone checked my email. It was great fun, but I was exhausted by the end of it.
I had Dr. appt. on Friday and all is well. Im feeling pretty good, with some lingering puffiness but I really think its inevitable to have a little. I have been drinking my water and taking my Spirulina, but my rings are snug and my regular shoes are snug. I really have to stay on it though. They can go from snug to scary in a relatively short period of time.
Then we had a nice weekend, actually. We slept in a little on Saturday and I went into work around 9:00. Matty went off to get a hair cut, stop at Starbucks and maybe Lowes. (our new home away from home) Then Doug picked Matt up around noon for a golf outing.
I worked till about 4:00, then caught up with my brother to help him shop for a new shirt. His GF was requiring him to join her at the Country Jam concert later that evening. Ha ha. Lets just say, its not really his style, but hes a trooper. He and I had a great time shopping. Hes a great shopper and I got lots of walking in so I was pleased.

We got yummy Greek salads at Cosis and then I headed off to the golf course to fetch my hubby.
They had a great day on the course and I get there just in time for the catered barbeque and raffle announcements every year. It was a hot one alright. I suppose everyone is experiencing this humid heat and no rain but if you are not, 87% humidity with 95 degrees and a smog warning are not a pleasant combination.
Sunday we celebrated Mattys first Fathers Day. We caught an early brunch with his Uncle and Aunt. His Uncle is kind of like a Dad to us on that side of the family since Matts father passed several years ago and he never had any children of his own. I think they were tickled to have the honors.
Then we headed to my parents for a few hours till about 1:00. We wondered at some point in the day when you dont actually have to visit your own parents for these holidays and you can just share them together as parents but I dont think I convinced myself that you ever can. I was watering the flowers in the yard later on Sunday and saw both elderly neighbors had children visiting who had children of their own.
We stopped by Lowes yet again on our way home and then worked at the house a little while inside and out.
We wrapped up Sunday together watching the final moments of the U.S. Open Golf Tournament at T.G.I. Fridays. What an ending.
I better run, Hugs to all, especially my man.

I don't think you can ever not spend time. It's the rules.
:) Glad you're feeling good despite the heat.
